i am brand new to levin world have very little knowledge on them as they are soo rare where i live. just got a quick question; the other night when i passed my mate at high revs he noticed my exhaust was glowing red from inside the pipe should i be worried or is there any reasons why this could be happening |

Was it glowing for sure or spitting sparks?? Could be built up carbon being burnt off as maybe it hasn't been driven hard for some time. |

i am not to sure, he just said he seen a red glow from inside the back box when i passed him and now its worried me just incase somthing happens. |

Well the back box is made from inflamable materials, so you should not worry too much. And put a Jerrycan or bottle filled with water in the car, just be on the safe side ;-). Its probably carbon and other stuff like dust that are beeing toasted. Do know how long it had been sitting when you bought it? Oh and this just popped up in my memory: Maybe the previous owner could have tried to "silence" exhaust by stuffing it with insulation stuff. My brother used steel whool to fill his backbox, and that smoked/glowed during the first couple of 100 Miles. So check the backbox for any recent welding spots... |
