Right i know theres a load of different veiws on the ideal intake for these engines, and some people will have their own veiws on it aswel but take a little read of this article.

http://www.emeraldm3d.com/articles/emr-adj-length-intake/

Yes this is done on jenvey throttlebodies and a ford lump, but the theorey is the same and the results are quite suprising.

This bloke runs his own garage R/R and makes/helps develop his own ecu's and has plenty of years of experience. he also lives less than 1 mile away from me, so i will be paying him a visit at some point to see if i can try out or actually get them to fit on my 20v and may even invest in one of his ecu's as they are top notch :)

enjoy your read!

I intend to, but as my engines in an ep91 starlet I have even less room to play with than you guys. But im definatelt intreiged to see if I can find a good runner lenght for the space I have and the setup I intend to run :)

To save everyone the hastle of trying I thought I would say that it seems that 150mm runners is the ideal length for a 20V with standard cams if there is enough room.

I am organising to have a dyno run of the different lengths on a blacktop with a tune between each change.

They mat fit, but they will be close to the firewall, restricting the air going inside.. The most effective till now are Imec inside the plenum.

yes I figured, thats why I added "if there is room"

I would like to see a run of the IMEC 35mm vs the 50mm I offer.

^ Inside the plenum or open?
Also I remember you posting something on facebook about you or someone else trying out all sorts of trumpet lengths on the dyno with a tune to see differences in power/torque, any idea when that would happen?

I need to organise it, both me and the other guy have had our hands full. I will see if he has the OEM stacks as well to compare. That way I can do my 50mm Vs OEM. The 50mm fits nicely inside the airbox, I will take some pics.

Whenever your ready. I just had someone post their own pictures of the adapter plate installed that look really good.

Watching my facebook page will work, anything vaugely interesting going on with my business gets posted up there. For example tomorrow I test fit my sample manual operation hydraulic belt tensioner.
