ok so the cars runs perfect everything works ok, dash and all bar the speedo, revs fuel guage temp all a ok but no speedo at all.... engine check light came on and i flashed it and it gave me error 42 (vss) now iv checked the cables at the back and there all good, i checked the abs sensors as i was told they are used as pick ups for the vss and seem to be ok bar the wire on the rear drivers side is a little loose not broken or damaged just not clipped in tight to the shock, is there a point on the gearbox were a sensor could be?? im stumped, speedo has not worked since i got the car a few weeks ago was lying up for 2 years previous, i also checked the speed wire into the ecu last night as i fitted my rsm in, and no damage there that i could see, the rsm doesnt even pick up speed signal??? i need to get this sorted as its wrecking head any info be great cheers Dan meant to add that the abs light is constantly on too......... were exactly is the vss on the box?? is it the connection on the top underneath the intake pipe?? iv seen some that are pushed down and fixed with a bolt but this looks like you put a socket over it..... |

Bit of a pain to get to but its doable It just pushes in and then held in place with a bolt. Sorry for the jumbo pic lol
