First time installing aftermarket seats; SAAS bucket seat installation

Hi guys,

Pretty keen to upgrade the seats on my 95 levin bzg and I found these which I quite like the look of:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/interior/seats/auction-460657787.htm

This being my first time attempting something like this I have a couple of worries stopping me from grabbing them though.

If anyone has experience with this sort of thing I'd appriciate any advise you could offer.

Firstly do these things often bolt on to the original rails okay or would the factory rails for these seats likely bolt on alright? Prob a silly question I'm guessing considering I suppose they'd all have different kinds of rails.

Also when removing the old seats would the seat belts buckle receptors be able to be kept with the new seats or are they attached to the factory rails themselves in some way?

Do these SAAS brand seats have a reputation? I've been offered them for 300 which I thought sounded like a good deal but I haven't got much of an idea about the brand.

Also is the install process very difficult to do yourself tipically? And do you normally need any special tools?

Thanks :)

(Have attached the current type of seats I have)

Firstly factory rails are not detachable from the factory seats they are an integral part of the seats.

So to install aftermarket seats you will need aftermarket rails.

They come in a few different versions
these are the best option and will have come from a Ae111 that had factory recaros.

Or something like this made by bride

Both rails are very hard to come by and don't expect to get a pair for anything less than $200.

Lastly you would need to check the bolt spacing on those saas seats as the rails i posted about are for recaro seats.

I'd probably reccomend a pair of recaros over those SAAS seats you can get a pair of sr3's for $300-400. (a "cheap" seat like a SAAS or a Jamex is never going to be comfortable as a 2nd hand recaro or bride)
