Hi all, ive just changed the clutch on my levin, everything went back together fine, all mounts tightened up. But when i go to set off now in first the car starts juddering and its quite loud, Only happens in 1st gear. My mate things it could be that the clutch plate is in the wrong way round, would this cause the juddering if it was? Please help, its killing me lol |

yeah mine does the same thing when i changed mine, I think when i feel im having to ride the clutch quite a lot its probably just due to a lot less area to take up with the new pressure plate. and the clutch plate should from memory only go on one way with how they have positioned the dowels and bolt holes. but sometimes the clutch plate can sometimes be tightened down unevenly which can cause clutch judder. |
