can you not get a new one off the insurance company??

It would need to be got through Mr T at a massive cost as it would have to come from Japan and that cost is more than the value of the car I presume????

Yeh I'd imagine that the insurance company would write it off instead of changing the screen because of the cost.

Put a request in the parts wanted section on here and have a look on Ebay for any AE111's breaking, sure you will find one somewhere!!!

There's literally hundreds of them being broken here in Ireland, it might be worth a trip on the ferry over.......

Whatever stage the site deems
My windscreen got cracked badly by a spirited BMW driver :( i had windscreen cover and just rang autoglass. They sorted everything out and my insurance company never even rang me about it. It took about a month to arrive from japan and cost autoglass £1250 ,apparently, all i had to pay was £50 excess and they came and fitted as soon as it arrived. The lovely man who fitted it decided he'd break one of my wind deflectors in the process though lol. Thinking about it now the cost was quite a lot so i'm sure if i had of rang my ins company they'd have written my car off to. If you have windscreen cover just ring autoglass if not add it to your policy and wait a while then call them.

I had mine done a few years ago. No problems getting it done through national windscreens. Took about 6 weeks and about £440 I believe. I have atleast one spare windscreen here now :-)
