I've a hks 4-1 manifold between the left top nut and middle one there's black smoke stains from it leaking is there anyway to stop it leaking without taking it off because I'm worried I'll ruin the studs or break one off and will have to Ger it drilled ... Thanks any help appreciated

The proper way to do it, is to change the gasket. If this does not work, you have to mill the surface to make it flat. |

i have a 4-1 to go on one of my levins and that gasket is goosed on mine too .. toyodiy be of no use obviously as the standard mani is 4-2-1 need to take it apart and clean both mounting faces there is stuff you can get for sealing exhaust flanges its quite expensive iirc (not something cheap like gun gum) will work if the gasket isnt completely broken Also the bolts holding the front sections together had damaged threads .. the bolts must take a lashing with no flexi Edited by johngtapex, Mar 7 2014, 12:42 AM.

I've only got my ae111 since December only thing I had to do so far was brake pads so I don't mind abit of tlc once they don't get majorly costly ... My last car mazda 323f about a week after I bought the thing it decides to see how deep my pockets are put Bou 500 into it nothing to major but I'm unemployed so made abit of a dent so we''ll see how the ae111 treats me need a new stud bolt for the center of the manifold to

I was thinking of buying hks manifold. how does yours perform and does it hang down really low underneath? also how much wouldyou pay to have the exhaust head skimmed? |

To be honest mate I'm not sure on prices it was in my car when I bought it mine don't hang low at all its fairly tidy under the car fits under the plastic undertray ... Lovely noise from it performance wise I'm not 100% about the benifuts as I haven't drove it without it |
