Pretty sure that the previous owner of my car told me that the system on my car (Cat removed, mandrel bends, mild steel, two centre resonators and a stainless rear muffler) was about $550 when he had it done. Having said that, that would have been about 5 years ago now. Second-hand systems can be had for around $100 on Trademe depending on brand/quality. Brand new JDM exhaust? Anywhere from $700 to $1500 plus shipping of around $200 or $300 ex Japan. |

$550 almost sounds too cheap based on the inclusion on two resonators and a muffler. I spent about $120ish buying one meter of 2.5" mild steel piping, a 90degree bend, some flanges and gaskets lol. IMO keep an eye out on yahoo auctions etc for a quality second had Japanese system. |

No flanges on my system though, Mark ![]() It is just one big welded section from the front pipe to the back end of the car. It's a pain to work on though. Ultimately, that's a rough recollection of what I think a guy told me he remembered it costing him some 5 years ago, so that should tell you how much weight to put on the number

Yeah, definitely. Lots of cars just have an aftermarket muffler, not even a full cat-back exhaust. |
