Hi Guys Name is Alfi . Age is wise and the heart beats Toyota. Currently doing plumbing after managing a merchant for 5 years and was a mechanic for 4 years before that. Purchased a AE111 BZG Levin a month ago. Love it!. Have owned too many toyotas from 1983 GT-TR Carina to ST205 Celica's etc etc. Have to say that the Levin makes me smile every time i drive it. Maybe because i last time a owned a NA car was 2004. Lol Ok won't go on forever. Looking forward to receiving and giving some advise. Also looking forward to a good debate / discussion

Thanks Guys. No mods done by me. Based in Auckland. Car is lowered on Jamax springs. Front suspension has no travel. Pretty much riding on Bump stops. Exhaust is good. 2.25 or 2.5 " without cat. Compression is 170 , 175 , 170 , 180 even though its done 280Ks Best ET is 15.1 . Aiming to hit high 14's with the following mods. Please feel free to add on. This is my daily. -Intake with cold air box -Coil Overs (Anyone have experience with the MRP ones?) -C56 LSD or an aftermarket TRD / Cusco / Kaaz 1.5 way lsd -stage 1 organic clutch plate with matching pressure plate -semi slicks or slicks for the track if needed. This should set me up with a quick nice handling AE111 ? |

James (above) has the MRP coilovers on his Trueno. Pretty sure he's had good things to say about them. |

Thats a decent run, i got 15.9 with full trim/sub etc. definitely all of the above, and go semi slicks i'd say. i'm running the mrp coilovers and love them, though Barry is now pushing the fortune autos, have been in two cars with f/a's and i'm not fully impressed to be honest. The ride comfort though is very nice but their problems could be that the correct valving wasn't chosen? Talk to 1i1 re:LSD unit. Can get you a factory Helical LSD unit for very cheap. |

Thanks Ales and James. Looks like I have def joined the right forum. Full trim no sub but big bacho socket set in the back :-) and low rpm launch around 3k. Anything more and I was in the15.4 mark. Will hit up 1i1 for sure and MRP it is :-) James are u running 8/6 or 6/4? Edited by Alfi, Jul 13 2015, 11:02 AM.

This forum is really good for information on the AE111s, but just lately there seem to have been fewer people posting - seems to be the case on a lot of car forums. The list of mods that you've proposed looks good. After that, it tends to be cams or forced induction. The blacktop doesn't seem to gain a huge amount through minor tweaks, probably because it's already pretty strung out. |

Agreed Ales. It seems like that on a lot of car forums. Oh well , out of our control. |

Yeah, I guess all we can do is keep being active on the boards and hope for responses. What part of Auckland are you from, mate? I'm Andy and I'm based on the North Shore. |

Ales , I'm from east tamaki. James , have u been in one that has a 8/6 setup on the street? Just don't want to be bouncing around attracting cops. But guess if I want good times I'll have to sacrifice my street ride a lil bit. |
