Anyone had experience removing the speed 180kph cut in a Levin BZ-G 20v BT? Car is only seeing the track and I can't use aftermarket ECU's. My search has only revealed crap loads of people who simply plug in an aftermarket ECU. Nothing to show/say how to bypass or delete. Must be a simple way to delete the speed cut ....... |

I suspect that the HKS speed cut might be against the rules of the competition that the car is being used for. I'm guessing that the OP is looking for a basic mod that wouldn't constitute an aftermarket ECU. A couple of thoughts: Do the TRD 280km/h clocks remove the speed cut? A long shot since they're hard to find and pretty expensive. If it were possible to get hold of one of the HKS SLD units, you could test its behaviour/hack it open and try to figure out what it is doing (might be expensive and it could be hard to figure out). Perhaps try to get in touch with AE111_James and get hold of the circuit diagrams for this part of the wiring. Then you might be able to sort out what type of modification would help. That said, you're talking about messing with the signals to the ECU, I have no idea what the possible issues for the ECU/engine might be in doing this. |
