My first instinct was to say that Gernika is OTL New York, but the river with the islands at the mouth description could also fit Charleston or Savannah.

Was Stuart/Hannover on Atlantis or the mainland? I can't remember any more.

Yes, Hanover was on the mainlaind.

For no other reason than boredom, I opened this thread, and realized I'd misread Makk's last post:

Hanover was on Atlantis. I assume by mainland, you meant North America (Terranova).

Any thoughts on the Seven Years War analog, specifically, how long it lasted, etc.? What about HT's decision to withhold that English Lt.Col's identity? Anything to that other than HT being twee?

I haven't read it yet. Does the alternata 7 Year War include an alternate French & Indian War? Is there an alternate Gen. Braddoc, or for that matter any alternates to real historic figures?

I recall skimming through the book and seeing the name Braddock here and there.

Do we need to move this to a spoilers section? Because I can answer Bignate's burning questions if he wants.

We don't have a spoilers section.

That was a useful feature of your previous board.

We don't have a spoilers section.

That was a useful feature of your previous board.

It was only there for two reasons:

1. In at the Death was coming out, and we were expecting a tidal wave of spoilers, and nobody knew how to work the spoiler font.

2. Jack needed a new sandbox to play in, since we needed to justify his modship.

So do we have a spoilers font here? If not, then a seperate spoilers sub-forum would still be useful for new books as they come out.

If I made a subforum guy for alternate history, I'd like it to be discussion of published works in general. We don't often get enough books to justify a whole new subforum. Why not just say in the sub-description guy "Spoilers!"?

Ok, what I will do for the sake of convenience is start a new thread clearly marked with spoilers.
