I just picked up the Freakazoid! season 1 DVDs. They did an episode where Freakazoid got zapped back to December 1941 and changed history. In the new reality Sharon Stone could act, cold fusion worked, Rush Limbaugh was a bleeding heart liberal and Bill Clinton never became president.

I'd forgotten they'd done that, and now I kind of want to see more of that time line.

Ahhh... I remember that episode. It was 'The Brain' who was president, and wasn't Pinky the vice president?
Let's see you do that kung-fu crap after I disintergrate your legs...

The only thing I remember from that show was some episode where he was being chased by some bad guys. A television popped up out of his car trunk and said "We will now broadcast 24 hours of Tony Danza!" Which caused the bad guy right behind him to explode.

I've never heard of this show. Would recommend it? Count me in for 24hrs of Who's the Boss? re-runs. You have to love Alyssa Milano!

That's a very Freakazoid! joke. They did one bit at a summer camp where kids were trying to top each other with "scariest thing in the world" stories. Freakazoid said "the scariest thing in the world would be if Sinbad got another TV show," prompting the children to scream and run into their cabins in terror.

Later you saw one little boy fearfull ask "that couldn't really happen, right? Sinbad getting another TV show?"

"Nah," another boy assured him, "the entertainment industry has all sorts of safeguards in place to prevent that."

Or something to that effect, anyway.

Charmed era Alyssa Milano is hot. 11 year old Alyssa Milano.... not so much.

Is she hotter than Rachel McAdams?

I'm not convinced she is.

No, but Milano has done more nudity and sex scenes (including a lesbian one I believe) than McAdams. That balances the "hotness" scale IMO.

I agree now with you about the Charmed Milano but when I was 11 the 11yr old Milano looked damn good

Ah, point-of-view. Makes a huge difference, doesn't it?

I do miss the fake Brooklyn accent, though. She should trot that out more often.

Ah, for the days when you're young enough to be turned on by minors.

I used to take out my eighth-grade yearbook and use the pictures of the cute girls to get myself going. Sure they were black-and-white headshots over white graduation gowns but it didn't take much to get me going back then. I tried it once for old times' sake when I was eighteen or so and just felt like such a creep. They weren't attractive anymore, they just looked young even though they're the same age as me.

I remember in sixth grade a teacher's aide calling one of my classmates a little girl. My response was "she's not little from where I'm standing!" The woman got a good laugh out of that and I felt quite embarassed. It implied an attraction to the girl in question that I didn't feel.

Oh, well. Water under the bridge. I think I saw one of my grammar school classmates once in the past 20 years, and that purely by accident. I also got an e-mail from another, and we traded a few messages, but I haven't seen her face to face since I lived in New Jersey.

I see her all the time. She's still not over it.

I actually run into grammar school mates all the time and even consider a few friends. Odd since ever since then I've parted ways with friends from other, more recent, chapters of my life almost as soon as I was out the door. But not any of the pretty girls nor anyone with whom I was involved in awkward incidents of implied attraction--I had my share of those too.
