I'm okay with him reusing that material. A lot of people don't have access to the original stories, so including them in book collections are the only way they'll get to see them.

Feels so cheap, though.

What I heard, and I won't vouch for how weight-bearing this is because I don't even remember where I heard it, is that most of the book will the the Atlantean WFI and the two stories will be repackaged to fill it out afterward.

For my part, I'm okay with repackaging the two stories in this or the 3rd book. I have read them, but I like the idea of being able to go to my bookshelf and having them there rather than keep track of the photocopies I took of them (which, as you might imagine, are MIA in two moves), or go to the library and get new copies from the Analog issues (no longer an option as I don't think the Meeker library carries Analog).

The Audobon story was re-printed in a Year's Best Science Fiction collection that Gardner Dozois edits every year. That might be easier to find in the library system if you ever want to re-read it and it doesn't appear in a subsequent Atlantis book.

Won't be a reread for me -- I never saw the magazine printing and have been waiting for it to show up in a book collection.

If I wanted to read it that badly, I'd go dig it up.
