Hi all,
Well, what a wonderful day. I'm not saying I got there early, but I was the third car in the queue. As a result, I managed to park almost right beside the crowd line which made the fetching and carrying easier! Colin and I were all set up by 9.10am and spent the next 90 minutes doing some weight lifting with my new lens. As usual there was lots of noise, wind and dust to be experienced in another thrilling day here. There were no R/C planes in attendance this time round and I for one missed their participation. I thoroughly recommend this as a day out.
Anyway, on with the photos.

Colin, were those air shots taken with your 75-300mm lense?

Hi Tom
Yes they were.
I shot everything at Bruntingthorpe using that lens. The camera was set to RAW mode, Shutter priority, shutter speed was 1/1000, ISO set to Auto and Auto focus set to AI Focus. I was using Burst mode. The picture was converted to JPG using the free Canon software Digital Photo Professional. I also used that software to sharpen the image a little. I then cropped it using IrfanView to give it more impact. What I love about this camera is how much detail it captures. Below is one of the original images before tweaking and cropping.

I then cropped it using IrfanView to give it more impact.
You can do all your cropping in DPP. Select the tools menu, the second option is trimming/angle adjustment. Using this you can crop to a predetermined ratio. I normally use 3:2 or 2:3 which is your basic 6x4 photo.

Hi Mark I used IrfanView out of habit, still exploring DPP.
