I've got around 6000 pictures on Photobucket going back to 2008 so as you can guess I'm not very pleased. :chair: I opened a Flickr account a couple of days ago but I'm having trouble working out how to post pics on the forum. Any tips?

From what I've read on other forums it sounds like Photobucket may soon kick the bucket.

Hi Tim

While in Flickr double click the picture you want to post, it will open in a new window. Bottom right of the screen a several icons, one is a right pointing arrow, click on it. From the Share options click on BBCode, select the size of the image you want, above that is a line of code which includes the [IMG] data. Copy that data to your post.

You just need the bit between and including the [img] & [/img] boxes.

I suspect that one or more of the background parts of the AMSIG theme used images stored on PB.

The temporary fix seems to have corrected most of the problems but there are still some problems.

I have tried my own zetaboards forum and that arrears to be OK using both the original zetaboards theme and my slightly modified theme.

Let me know if you want any help

Thanks for the speedy response Mark, we can live with what we have for a while.

To answer Glen's question what seems to have happened is that a lot of graphics used in the AMSIG forum theme were stored on Photobucket, Photobucket don't allow images to be linked to forums and elsewhere unless everyone pays $400 a year so everyone is moving images to other hosts, it takes time to relink everything to the new host and in the meanwhile Photobucket are helpfully telling us that the images can't be found. Usually this would be a little discrete box with an X in it, Photobucket prefer to use a 2 inch square graphic.

Mark M has modified the layout so we can at least use the forum. He is working nights this week so it might be a day or two before everything returns to normal.

Members who use Photobucket, even if your images seem to be displaying OK (as mine are currently) you will need to upload your images to another host and relink to your posts here. I'm not sure it is worth all of that time and effort, particularly for WIP threads but I'll chat with Tom and Andy by email.

Thanks Ian

I suggest for the time being we let Mark track down the images in question and relink them if he can.

The trader links at the bottom of each page are currently hosted on my PB account, I expect they will vanish soon. I'm in the process of uploading them and the rest of my images to Flickr.
