Date: Sunday 25th of January 2015 Open: 10:00 – 16:00 Venue: St Joseph's RC High School, Chorley New Road, Horwich, BL6 6HW (Just off of Junction 6 of the M61)
A good show spent in pleasant company with Ian and Andy.
We were in the main hall again with lots of natural light. Four large tables with this time plenty of room behind them for us to sit
The show was the busiest its been for years with a steady stream of visitors until around 2pm which then trailed off. The display had a lot of interest with Ian's cars immaculate or distressed receiving plenty of attention. Andy's ATF review Gnat was praised and my What Ifs and Orange Jaguar had a lot of shaking heads. Ian's crashed Beaufighter diorama may appear in a future edition of SAMi so look out for that.
Purchase wise I bought the following Airfix 1/72 MBB BO-105 £2 Airfix 1/72 Sepecat Jaguar GR1 £3 Airfix 1/72 Sikorsky SH-3D (Boots exclusive edition) £2 Italeri 1/72 Tornado ECR from Andy Revell Glue.
Pics from the show. Ian's will be better.

My shots from this show. Although there did not seem as many display tables as last year the show was quite well attended by vistitors, or maybe it just seemed like that as we were positioned near the entrance to the main hall so they all had to pass our display. As there was only Tom and myself bringing models, plus Andy's Gnat, and we had quite a large space to fill, we tried, as an experiment, moving the stands to either end of the table rather than having them in the middle. I felt the experiment worked as it meant we could more easily make eye contact with visitors and it seemed to me we had more conversations than last year, as we were not isolated behind the stands.
A few shots of our table - picture quality not great but for some reason my camera seems to dislike the lighting in that hall.

Managed to come away without buying any kits, but did spend quite a lot on modelling equipment including a Tamiya spray stand/turntable, archimedeze drill, good quality tweezers, packs of 10 * 0.2 & 0.25mm drill bits, Plastic Weld, a pair of clip on magnifying glasses with built in LED light reduced from £10.95 to £4.99, 3 bags of assorted scatter material for £1, some sheets of 00 guage 'corrugated iron' and two pots of Tamiya paint. Looks like we will be eating out of the freezer for the rest of the month!

Great pictures, thanks for posting. It has been said many times before but I'm happy to repeat it, the joy of the Airfix range is that it covers so many subjects and even the most humble kit can with some skill and imagination be turned into a very interesting model.
