Update on Classic Airforce Base. Some of their planes are up for auction. Any one want to chip in with me?

Sadly I can't afford any of them. More worryingly, apart from the five being auctioned, the remaining thirty one are being offered for private sale. That will be the end of Airbase Coventry.

Pretty much. I wonder how much the fleeces are going for? It will be a shame if/when it goes. I thought it was a great place. I wonder if he has tried to sell it as a whole and failed to find a buyer, so he is doing it this way. Speculation on my part i know.

If Mike Collett is retiring completely I wonder what happens to the Nimrod and Shackleton. He doesn't own the aircraft but they were parked on Airbase's turf. Checking the WR963 Facebook page this evening they may have to move to elsewhere on the airfield.
