Hi all After spending six days at RIAT I spent the day in London with my daughter. We had quite a packed day, consisting of the Underground and Docklands Light Railway.

We took the cable car across the Thames, which I recommend. It was very reasonably priced. It was just a shame that it is situated in a rubbish part of London, with not much to see.

We then took a river bus from Greenwich to the London eye. I took a number of photo's including some of fast boats occupied by tourists. They got in on the act by waving at me while I took photo's.

Various sights along the Thames had to be photographed.

From there we crossed the river towards the houses of Parliment

We then did lunch at Leicester Square, before nipping into Harrods for a bit of a shop, and ended up at Covent Garden.

There are always street performers here, and I tried to get a bit arty as well with some black and white photo's.

But my favourite photo is this one of my daughter, stood in front of an advert for the 'Matilda' musical.

Anyway, if you are in London, then give the cable car a go, and have a trip on the Thames. I think I paid no more than £5 for each of us on both the boat and £5 for the cable car.
Mark.

A grand day out! I hadn't realised how much decoration there is on 'Big Ben' and the Palace of Westminster, thanks for sharing.

It certainly is a very intricate building full of detail. You have to admire the architect and even more so the builders.
