Thanks for putting up the photos. That first one really highlights the amount of space we had and how well (and easily) we filled it.

Time for a few photo's. For some reason I seem to have acquired a bit of a tank fetish while at Thornbury.

While at the deHavilland Museum the other week, we got chatting to a chap who had made a display of a large number of Airspeed wooden carved planes. Some of which were prototypes that never got passed the initial design stage. One in particular caught my eye and lo and behold, I found a plastic version at Thornbury.

One chap has made a PCB, which in conjunction with a 1/24 plane, can replicate the start up sounds, in this case of a Hurricane, and match them to the movement of the propellor. He hopes to have a better version available for SMW.

The PCB that combines audio, lights and motor control was impressive. It is configured so that the motor speed is in sync with the audio. The production PCB will be only 30mm x 70mm and should be on display at Telford. Excellent photography as always Mark. The Hunter and the small Space Shuttle are mine and were on the L&C tables. The Hunter is an Academy kit, the Space Shuttle is a Heller kit and was rescued from a charity shop.

Some interesting models posted on this Flickr page (Posted on the IPMS Facebook page). There are a few pictures from our table and Glen's S boat in the competition.

Somewhat late in posting on this. A good day out in the company of Colin, Gerry, Glen, Mark, and Chris. Sorry that Tim couldn't make it. No photos from me as Mark does such an excellent job it'd be a shame to spoil the thread with my feeble efforts. Congratulations to Glen on his awards. I met up with my cousins husband (another modelling enthusiast, they live nearby) and my cousin fed me after the show which meant I missed the majority of the M4 / M25 traffic on the way home. An excellent show followed by an excellent meal and very little traffic, a proper win treble.
