Not a good start to the day, a rather gruff gentleman was in charge to the loading bay, the goods lift was out of order, I carried my 8 boxes of builds from the basement to the 2nd floor where the show takes place, took 2 journeys and at the end of the 2nd one they got the lift working  . We weren't initially next to Locate & Cement but the club which were supposed to be were a no show so I got us moved. John (Arpie) and Richard (RichardHumm) turned up but unfortunately John was unaware that we had 3 tables instead of 2 and we didn't have enough table cloths :fear: .
Then our luck changed. The organisers had table cloths to spare and we were soon joined by Stu (Stuzzar) and Chris (Spitfire 1677).

Our table...

Our friends from Locate and Cement, Paul (PeeBeep) and Tony, managed to get there despite the best efforts of the dreaded railway Sunday engineering works trying to prevent them.

Their table, complete with flashy club signs (poseurs :D )...

The last photo perfectly illustrates why we don't need barricades or 'do not touch' signs ... John 'Mad Dog' Arpie, a lean, mean fightin' machine ready to intercept anyone foolish enough to attempt the unthinkable :chair: .

A lovely dio. of the Waterloo Hougemont gate scene, all the figures are Airfix 54mm, unfortunately the batteries on the backlight were running down and my camera's not really good enough for pics of things like this (where's Mark (roadhousedisco) when you need him :( ).

...and that's it. A great day out, top company, the show's getting gradually busier by the year and the pub next door serves welcome refreshment to break up the journey home  .

Thanks for the report James, well done to all who attended. I hope 'Mad Dog' didn't need to bite too many visitors!

Hi all,
It was a great day in great company, and I got to meet Stu and Richard :thumb: I particulaly enjoyed having a few drinks (soft drinks for me as I was driving) with the chaps after the show

I was very restrained and didnt buy anything at all, SWMBO was gobsmacked :wow:

Looking forward to next year

BTW Colin I upset the IPMS El Presidente, James was having a laugh because you and him are "really good friends" :wow:

Took about an hour to knock up on the Thursday before SMW! Laminated graphics on bits of art board. I'd be happy to do some for AMSIG if show management thinks it might be a nice idea.

Tony doesn't do L & C, but he's a member of IPMS Rivenhall.

Would you mind if I lifted your images to post up on the L & C forum/Facebook pages?
