Just back from day 1 of the show. A good day in the company of Colin, Ant and his dad and Tom who arrived mid aftenoon having been working all morning.
Tom had delivered his boxes on the Friday evening, including two new very smart chrome and glass corner towers.
I arrived about 8 and lugged in my dozen or so boxes, Colin arrived a bit later with his van load followed by Ant and dad.
Set up took quite some time as we had 96 sqft of table space to fill - which we managed, with some stuff to spare - will swap things tomorrow.

As the organisers are trying to increase the scope of the show we had brought some non-Airfix kits to add some variety.
A few shots of finished table, though it changed slighty over the day.

A reasonable crowd considering it was a pre-christmas shopping day and the all-day drizzle - hope the weather is better tomorrow.
Our display seemed to be quite well recieved - lots of conversations, many with those thinking of returning to the hobby and enquiring how to do things. Age range was from 'infinks' right up to a 95 year old ex-RAF WW2 veteran who worked on Spitfires and Hurricanes. The display of 1/24 Airfix aircraft was popular - seems a lot of people have bought one, but hardly anyone has actually built one...

An excellent show overall. The organisers were very pleased with our display and we have been invited back next year for what should be a much larger event. Journey home was tiring, thick fog all the way but a great weekend none the less. I'll sort out some pictures tomorrow if not already covered by others. Thanks to Tom, Ian, Ant and Dad for a most enjoyable weekend.
Colin

An excellent weekend spent in good company. We have verbally agreed to return next year if it goes ahead.
We shifted things around for the Sunday. Concorde was put away for next years Manchester Airport show and a few floaty things were found too.
A selection from the second day.
