The first show I ever attended. I seem to recall the AMSIG table was tucked away in a remote classroom. I only have a few close-up shots of the table as it was a bit too cramped to be able to get a shot of the whole thing.

Not brilliant photos but at least it shows we were there

It was good to meet up with Adrian, Andy and Andy MkII again and to meet for the first time IanW who brought some kits for display. Late last night the two Andy's got some table space due to a cancellation so they had their own display space instead of using part of AMSIG's.
The show was quieter than usual which could be due to the weather or economy. There were a few trade cancellations and with some stalwarts no longer trading since last years show it all seemed rather sparse. SAMI was there though for the first time since Neil Robinson left and were doing a brisk trade selling Mike Grant and Tom Cole's modelling books.
The Andy's pointed us in the direction of the cheap kit stall where everything was half marked price and were of the Airfix brand. All red box kits - the new Bf109E tropical only £3.50. Adrian bought a number for his loft and I bought the Airfix 1/72 Apache for £3.25.
The beauty about the Northern show circuit is that the food is edible and cheap. Lunch and drinks cost £6 between us. Adrian was commenting that at Hendon we wouldn't get much change from £20.
