How shocked are you about Kanjuro's elimination? Do you worry you may be next? How do you plan to get rid of your fellow eight competitors? What was Kanjuro's greatest masterpiece? In the end, I was only shocked that things fell exactly as I expected them to. Before that though... before that... ohoho... Let me just explain things from my perspective... If you read my confessional yesterday, you'll see that I had listed Kanjuro as by far my most trusted ally. How wrong I was. Which is kudos to him. But fortunately, I've spread my carrot seeds far a wide by this point. I've been allied with Kalifa since the tribe switch, and we agreed to prioritize our alliance when the merge happened. When I won the reward challenge a couple of days ago, I saw it as the perfect opportunity for us to infiltrate Conis' circle. Through sneakiness and passive pressure, Conis agreed to form an "official alliance" with us, as Carrot's Awesome Blondies. That was in the aftermath of the disaster challenge. Fast forward to Tribal Council day. Kalifa and I both suggest Zoro as the best option to keep us both safe and Conis coughs up their alliance, something we assumed anyway. Kalifa and I foolish cast an early vote on Zoro (Garp does too), which I deeply regret because she's my favorite person ever. Thankfully it didn't work out that way. Sometime around 11 or 12, Conis cracks and messages me saying that her alliance (Conis, Zoro, Caesar, Kanjuro) wants to vote for me because they're not gonna vote each other, and they think Garp will use his idol. She's asking me to get Garp to not use his idol, so they can vote him out and not have to vote for me. I tell her I'll see what I can and try to milk as much information out of her as possible. Because I was busy, I ended up interpreting Zoro using a bracelet as him having an idol. So in relief, I kind of panicked and tried to get people to switch to Kanjuro. Conis' plan was to get 4 votes on Garp, and 3 on the other two. I ended up relaying this info to my partners in crime (Garpy and Kalifa-san) and Garpy trusted me enough to give me his idol and make the right call or put in the work to keep us safe. After pressuring Conis a little more, she admitted that Zoro was only going to vote for Garp or Kanjuro. And this was just the option I needed. I told her there was no way to get to Garp, and pleaded for her to pick me over Kanjuro, letting Zoro vote for him. Which worked so I ended up with only 2 votes from Caesar and Kanjuro (1 thanks to Garpy although that could have worked agaisnt us), Conis didn't want to betray anyone, so she voted Garp anyway. Everyone left voted for Kanjuro, the betrayer. And I was able to give Garpy his idol back, while eliminating someone I thought I could trust, but was ultimately against me. While maintaining relationship with Conis because I didn't have to openly use the knowledge she gave me against her. I think I played it off well enough. So while the end result didn't shock, me there was quite a bit of surprise and excitement in there last night. Kinda proud of the work I did ![]() I don't think I'll be next. I hope not. If things went as smoothly as they seemed, I should still be in good standing with just about everyone except Caesar, who I'm pretty sure has more enemies at this point. ------------ Ummm, I don't really have any plan at the moment. The only one I know I want gone next is Caesar, assuming he doesn't win immunity. After that, I really do like everyone a lot, so it will be a tough choice. I'll keep thinking about it. Mostly I'll just use the connections I have and try to avoid breaking any relationships. ------------ French girl Hatchan was hilarious and creepy. But I think my favorite has to be Conissaro. ![]() He told me earlier yesterday that he was working on another masterpiece for the afterlife. I'd really like to see. He really was one of my favorite players and I'm sad to see him go, but that's just the way the game is some times. I'll never forget you, Sensei! |
