I have to start this off by thanking everyone that worked with me, especially the two wonderful, amazing allies that are here with me, Garpy and Kalifa-san. There's absolutely no way I could have come so far on my own and I owe a lot to everyone that worked with me at some point throughout the game, whether it ended amicably or not. I had a blast in this game and whatever happens, I'm glad to have shared this experience with so many wonderful players ![]() Very early on, I realized I was going to have a very difficult time putting on a strong performance in challenges, due to my schedule for one, but also because even when I did have a chance to compete, every other player proved they could be a threat to take any challenge at any time. So the "simple" route of doing well in challenges and making it far through immunity was a no-go. I had to decide whether I wanted to do this the hard way and rely on a social game I wasn't sure I could pull off, trying to do work behind the scenes to protect myself and those I cared about, or whether I wanted to just have as much fun as possible and let whatever happens, happen. After a bit of inner-struggle, I chose the former. And so I came up with a method that I felt would allow me to perform well and reach my goal no matter what the game could throw at me, and I combined 6 major points into a delicious acronym I've grown to love: C.A.R.R.O.T. I've kept this word in my signature since Day 4 to serve as a reminder of what to focus on as I feel it represents the most important aspects of the game. C! for "Challenges." The simplest way to the end is to just win every challenge, but as I mentioned, that was beyond impossible for many reasons. I think I ultimately even fell short of my own expectations in the challenge department, throughout the game, only properly winning one tribe challenge, which was for consolation immunity, then only one reward challenge (which actually may have been the most important thing I did). I made up for it by winning the last two immunity challenges, one of which was basically random, and the other which guaranteed me a spot in the finale. I may not have been the best at challenges, but I pulled through when it mattered most. A! for "Attraction." Or an attractive personality. You can't underestimate the power of being a pleasant person. I did my best to be a well-liked person and it made a lot of things easier, from forming alliances, to getting information in tribal councils, to getting people to not vote for me. Not that I acted this way just to benefit my strategy. I had an awesome time getting to goof off with everyone and it made the game so much more fun and easier to deal with. I personally think I excelled in this area. R! for " R! for "Relationships." Possibly the most important factor for the way I played this game. Not that I acted this way just to benefit my strategy. I had an awesome time getting to goof off with everyone and it made the game so much more fun and easier to deal with. I personally think I excelled in this area. R! for " R! for "Relationships." Possibly the most important factor for the way I played this game. The only active player I never got to build a relationship with was Ace, who was gone much too soon. My hard allies, Garp, Kalifa, and Conis, were my main relationships, but the lesser ones are just as important. I worked very hard on maintaining a relationship with each and every player, allowing me to get a feel for their standing in the game. This point was key in getting Conis to work with me, as I had previously established a great relationship with her before Kalifa and I offered to make Carrot's Awesome Blondies an official alliance thanks to my Luau reward. Because we had already had such a great rapport together, this alliance paid off immediately when she informed me of Kanjuro and Caesar turning on me at the second merge TC. From there I was able to save Zoro by spreading that he had an idol, while convincing Conis that our alliance was a better offer, and grasping the situation well enough to ensure Garp's safety without having him spending his idol. My relationship with Conis was able to trump an older alliance because I had laid the ground work and made the right offer at the right time, which in turn protected myself and immediately benefited all parties. Her closest ally was saved, mine and my closest were safe, and I identified the two people I could trust the least in the situation, promptly taking one down in the process. Which isn't even to mention all the other benefits, like being able to survive 7 tribal councils without immunity, despite a number of votes coming my way. O! for "Observation." This goes hand-in-hand with Relationships, as having a personal connection with other players and then seeing how they act is the best way to truly understand their positions. This first came strongly into play with Bon-chan and NeoHatchan. What was supposed to originally be a strong four-person alliance of Garp, Kalifa, Bon-chan, and myself, felt off from the start with Bon-chan siding with Decken in our first council. I saw that this could be a problem and come merge time, I was able to tailor reasons to other players, realizing Bon-chan was very much a wild card and could be sent home with little damage to rest of the tribe. This resulted in a clean vote and an extended chance at reading the rest of the merge tribe without causing any strife between parties. From there, I cemented my ties with Garp, Kalifa, and I (and eventually Conis<3). This paid off when I began to see cracks in Old Chew. I recognized that Kalifa would indeed be loyal to me over Old Chew, and from various lines dropped by Ina-san and Conis, I understood that Devon was the one most holding onto Old Chew and trying to make it work. I was able to figure that Ina-san would consider jumping ship in the right circumstance, but to make sure, I asked him to help me convince Kalifa (who was in on it) to go against Devon, in order to ensure that he was sincere in turning on Devon. This information got back to me, and once Devon was voted out, Old Chew as an alliance, and the biggest threat to my core alliance, was gone . After that point, Kalifa, Garp, and I essentially had our picking of what to do with the rest of the game. The only thing we had to worry about were items and idols, which leads me to... T! for "Tribulation." Only a fool would think that every plan would go perfectly. I had to stay realistic and grounded. I had to come out stronger every time something went awry. When Old Hatchan was barely staying afloat, when NeoHatchan was only saved by Devon-sama's mis-post. When Caesar and Kanjuro-sensei, who both at one point I considered my closest and most trustworthy allies, decided I was the best target to go after, when I couldn't for the life of me win individual immunity, and perhaps most of all, during the debacle of a tribal council that resulted in Zoro going home. Through each of these, I had to keep my head on straight and figure the best way to work through them and I was only able to do so by preparing for the worst as best as I could and staying sharp and adaptive. It's here that I feel I have to explain what happened and why. As I've mentioned, my core alliance has been Garp, Kalifa, and I, since the start of NeoHatchan. During the final 7 Tribal Council, no one knew what to expect for the rest of the game. Pretty much everyone I talked to was expecting a double tribal council, or some other shenanigan to happen soon. And I was just as conflicted about who to vote for. Ina-san was willing to Final 4 with us, as was Rosinante, as was Conis. Zoro was the oddest man out from my perspective. Ina-san had long wanted to go after Conis, and I had conceded to going after her with him in order to gain his vote against Devon the cycle before. I made a point to Garpy and Kalifa that I didn't want to go after Conis and through our talks, and with Ina-san, we managed to shift the target to Zoro, which made the most practical sense, even though it would have damaged my relationship with Conis. This still didn't sit well with me because of everything Conis had done for me before, but it seemed like the best choice at the time. Because I was so conflicted, I tasked myself with looking ahead at possibilities and what I thought might be the worst possible outcome, and the most objective decision to make. Prepare for the worst, so to speak. Because of the destruction of the tribute system and the fact that Ina-san had burned an idol carelessly, and his constant tribute advantages, I was concerned there was a very real chance he had a second one. In the event of a double tribal council, there was a possibility that Day 36, the last day to use items, was going to be a 5 person council. Among all the situations I could imagine, the worst one was leaving Ina-san in the game, with an idol, where the 5th person (either Rosinante or Conis) wins immunity, Garp uses his idol, and then we're forced to choose between Kalifa and I on day 36. This was the only unwinnable scenario I could imagine (there was no way anyone could predict Rosinante having the idol that everyone else in the game believed had died with Hawkins). Conis and Zoro had a bunch of items, but with clever use of Garp's idol and Kalifa's items, the best they could hope for even if one of them had won immunity was a tie that would be broken in our favor during a revote. And so I communicated to my allies that the only impossible scenario existed with Ina-san still in the game. It was a tough decision to make and I hated to have to blindside Ina-san like that, but it's a decision I'd make again if I had the chance to because it was for the sake of my alliance. Every other tough situation we could have been put in would have been resolved by us just sticking together and making the right choices. I chose to eliminate the worst possible outcome and I think it was the right thing to do. I think we're all aware of what ultimately happened. Conis had the foresight to vote for Rosinante, but it proved futile and we lost Zoro anyway. But because of everything, this still worked out in my favor. It only strengthened my bond with Conis and increased the confidence I had in choosing to side with her as she continued to be an amazing ally the rest of the way. Sorry this is so long, but I feel like I had a lot of explaining to do and that much of the work I did was strategic, and thus, not so obvious, so I wanted you all to have an understanding of what my overall plan was and why the decisions I made make me a worthy champion

Caesar Clown To all: What do you consider to be the best move, play, or strategy you used this game? Catarina Devon To Carrot: You are here with (two of) your closest allies. What made them both more attractive to you than other players? Conis To all: What advantages or positive qualities do you feel you have that your fellow two finalists don't that makes you the most worthy of the Jury members' votes? Donquixote Rosinante To Carrot: Why should I vote for you over the other two contenders? Inazuma To Carrot: Seems like you have a problem overthinking things that lead to making hasty and poor decisions. You become very paranoid about scenarios that have very slim margins of ever happening. Why should someone so jumpy(yes! Rabbit pun!) be voted as Sole Survivor? Kanjuro To all: Iceland is in the North Atlantic. Its capital city is Reykjavik. What can you say about your game that the other finalists can not? Mr. 2 Bon Clay To Carrot and Garp: As you had a large hand in my demise, why should my vote go your way? Zoro To all: What was your most difficult decision throughout the game, and how did it help or hinder you to reach the final three? |

I would have to say that my best decision throughout the game was investing in Conis at the start of the second merge cycle. To explain further, when I saw that we had a great relationship in public, I threw out the Carrot's Awesome Blondies thing to help strengthen that and give me a foot in the door come merge time. When I saw the 3-person Luau reward, I had to win and strategically avoided revenge cuts in the challenge to give myself an advantage. After winning, I knew I had to capitalize on this by inviting her there with Kalifa. I was already allied with Kalifa at the time, but I proposed the alliance as a completely new thing. Initially, I wasn't completely committed to it, just interested to see where it would go, thus I was willing to vote out Zoro at the upcoming Tribal Council, due to limited options. During this council was when Conis admitted to being in alliance with Kanjuro and Caesar and their decision to try voting me out. I decided to commit to this alliance and managed to convince her that I had more to offer while saving Zoro and getting rid of one of my threats. Our relationship grew from there and it payed off greatly. I managed to gain her perspective on the actions of the Old Chew members, which in turn allowed me to find the link most likely to be broken. Having her commitment helped me sway Kalifa to turn on her old allies, and even helped me in the second to last immunity challenge where her vote gave me immunity over Kalifa. Basically, throwing my lot in with Conis gave me a strong relationship that was my own more so than other alliances I was in, and provided a lot of key information and perspective that allowed me to get here without too much drama along the way.
Garpy and I initially joined forces when we found ourselves on the From there, it only made sense that we should team up with Kalifa and Bon-chan as they were the two most active new members. Originally, I was actually pretty scared of getting paired up with Kalifa, since I saw her as the biggest threat socially and exceptionally capable in challenges. After we ended up together, we grew comfortable with each other and I knew we would make an excellent pair. The reasons I once feared her became the reasons I needed to ally myself with her. Again, due to Garp's IRL issues, I thought I should set up a Plan B, or Plan A 2.0, so I offered a final 2 alliance with Kalifa just before the merge. She agreed and I did what I could to make sure I could continue offering her the most and keep her loyalty.
The three of us played a fairly similar game. None of us did particularly outstanding in the challenge department (really, no one did this game. Surprising). And we all focused most of our efforts into the social aspect. Taking that into consideration, I think I played the best game in terms of strategy. Through the tribe phase, the focus was mostly just staying alive, but I opted to strengthen the bonds I had with my allies as much as possible. I made myself as attractive as possible to them in order to gain their loyalty or preference when there were tough decisions to be made. The merge was when I really hit my stride. I didn't just seek to protect myself, but I actively controlled the direction of the game. Initially, Caesar was the primary choice to be first voted out. I spread the idea that he likely came back with an idol and first suggested the idea of Bon-chan instead. As I mentioned before, this was to get a better chance to feel out the standings and alliances of everyone else. I also hoped it would gain me favor with Caesar, which would have worked, had I not been on the block with his 3 allies and a player with an idol. In the second Tribal Council, Zoro was very likely getting sent home, until I gained enough information to decide that Kanjuro was the better choice and get Kalifa to spread that to Old Chew. Through this, despite being told that there were at least three votes coming the way of Garp and I, I had enough faith in my strategy to split those votes to play hot potato with Garp's idol and ultimately not use it, while getting Conis and Zoro to not offer protection to Kanjuro. The next council, Caesar was a essentially a dead man without immunity. But there was still something to be gained. As I was growing closer with Conis, I wanted to be able to work with her and my main alliance. I couldn't do that if she continued to vote for Garp in order to honor her allies heading out the door. I managed to convince her that she would be seen as much more trustworthy if she voted along with the rest of us. This worked out and things were much easier to work with between my two alliances for the rest of the game. Through those three councils, I was able to gauge Kalifa and Ina-san's willingness to vote against Devon. The time was right and I we put it into action. Through this, I made sure to keep Rosinante out of the loop, which paid off in his willingness to go against Ina-san for the betrayal. The following council, I've already beat to death in other questions, you can look there, but an important takeaway is that even despite Kalifa tipping off Ina-san about the vote, it still didn't result in anything particularly negative for me, at least not directly. And that speaks to the influence I had over the situation. The only time I deferred voting preference to other people was in the final 6 council. Garp wanted to toy with Ina for a bit and Kalifa felt sorry for him. Ultimately I saw the decision between Ina-san and Rosy as inconsequential. The power gap between them and my allies was already too great for them to overcome without the idols they had already burned and neither managed to win immunity. From there it was pretty smooth sailing to the finale. I feel I played the biggest part in the direction of the game and that is in large part because my strategies were strong enough to protect not only myself, but also my allies, and that is something that separates me form the other finalists. If we're talking positive qualities, I think we can all agree that I'm just an all-around lovely person but I don't think that's something that should decide votes in a finale ![]()
I don't want to diminish anything my other competitors have done and I don't have any personal reasons to give, so I assume you're asking more along the lines of what I think I did that deserves your vote. For that, I think I've provided many examples already. I could go into detail over every little thing I did, but that would just be tedious and I think what I've already said gets the point across well enough, so I'll just say that I think I embodied what it means to be successful in survivor. I had a hell of a lot of fun. I put up a fight in challenges every chance I could. I made great memories and allies. I managed to bring all of my best allies with me as far as was possible. I fought tooth and nail to put myself in the best possible position. (I fell in love~<3 ) I made tough decisions. I executed my plans from start to finish. And when faced with adversity, I took it in stride and came out stronger. To me, this is everything to look for in a Sole Survivor. And for this, I think I have earned your vote.
I assume you're referring to the decision to blindside you. And I think you're misunderstanding how I got there. I think my explanation might have been a little skewed by my not wanting to come off as selfish and controlling, but in order to really drive home just how much effort and consideration and strategy I put into every major decision, I'll take the gloves off. While yes, I've had a tendency to get paranoid, I certainly didn't make any hasty decisions, and they were only poor for the people on the receiving end. If you'll remember, we had a day of rest before that Tribal Council and there was actually a decent amount of discussion going on during that day. I didn't even propose the plan to oust you until midway through the day of the actual Tribal Council. I spent the entire time before thinking of everything I could to ensure success for my alliance. Take a second to consider my position. I had my two top priority allies, Garp and Kalifa, desired for Final 4 by pretty much everyone. I had my next closest ally, Conis who I could assume was only more loyal to Zoro than me. There was Zoro, a very solid threat and the current target because of my insistence to keep Conis, and then the other two Old Chews, you and Rosinante. It was a very safe assumption that you were both more loyal to Kalifa than to me, and possibly even to Garp as well, possibly each other (though now I know that last part wasn't the case). From an alliance perspective, Zoro was the best choice, but from this position, it would almost certainly mean going after Conis the next cycle. Same for if we had targeted Rosinante or you, the other would likely have to be next. This would keep relations best with Kalifa, and Garp seemed fine with it, but it would have put me at a much bigger disadvantage. From a personal, selfish perspective, the best target was you, as it would leave Kalifa with me as her best choice, which I did think I was already, but it would ensure it. It would take out a strong threat, and focus control of the game around me and my allies. From a non-confrontational perspective, the best target was Rosinante, as he had lesser relationships with Conis and Zoro, and Ina-san was the preferred 4th of Garp and Kalifa. It was going to be difficult to get Kalifa to vote out another Old Chew member though, so ultimately Zoro became the easiest target. As I mentioned above, while I wouldn't have been in necessarily a bad position, I would end up losing a lot from this in the long run by voting against Conis and possibly losing her as an ally altogether. It was a tough decision to not just be okay with the vote. I thought maybe I should set aside my personal preference and go with what would maintain the smoothest relationships. And so I delved into thinking through objective reasons for and against each decision. This is where I found myself conflicted and started exploring the possibilities of each situation and what could happen as a result of each. I found myself considering the scenario I mentioned in my plea. Moreso than a situation with a very slim margin of ever happening, it was a situation of known vs. unknown. I knew what items Conis and Zoro had and how things would play out if we had to go against them. They were easier to prepare for. I didn't know whether you had a trump card in store or not, and I was less certain about how things would play out had we voted out Conis and Zoro. The decision was difficult to come to, but it made the most sense to me as it removed the most uncertainty, on top of all the advantages I explained earlier. The end result was all but impossible to plan for, and somehow worked out even better from a personal gain perspective than I could have hoped for. I don't like that it had to be done that way and it broke my heart to see Zoro leave in such a fashion. I hope you can see that this was a decision I didn't make lightly. The same goes for every other choice I made. The closest I came to making a hasty decision was voting relatively early for Zoro in the second merge council (which was at like 10pm). And it was also the best decision based on everything I knew that only changed when Conis decided to fully commit to our alliance, and then I was still able to pull the best possible scenario out of it.
The biggest thing that comes to mind is that in the Final 4, I was the preferred ally of the other 3 players. At a glance, you might think that this means I had it easy, but that's far from the truth. I've explained just how much thought and effort and how much strategy it took to not just get here, but get here in such an advantageous position. From setting up connections, to controlling votes, to creating reasons that worked on specific people, to identifying my biggest threats and finding the best opportunity to take them down, I did everything I possibly could to take control of the game and give myself the best opportunity to win, and I think the fact that I had 3 excellent allies with me in the end, who were all more loyal to me than each other speaks volumes to how well I played.
Ultimately, I can't tell you what to consider when making your vote. If wanted to revenge vote or hold a grudge, that's completely within your right. But personally, I don't think a vote should be based on personal preference of a player. Whether you were my closest ally who fought to their dying breath or an antagonist who was dealt with brutally, or anywhere in between, I think you should vote for whoever you feel is most deserving based on their gameplay, and the reasons I think I am the most deserving are expanded upon in my pleas and answers.
The most difficult decision for me was deciding to attempt the blindside on Inazuma. I explained my thought process in my plea and went into greater detail in my answer to Ina-san. I was already in an good position at the time, but the decision to target Ina ultimately led to me having an easier path into the final 3. It caused a stronger divide between Kalifa/Rosinante/Ina-san. While not planned, it led to Zoro being voted out and gave me priority with Conis, making my final 4 preference easy to decide. It can be considered a stroke of luck in that sense, but strategically, I had set myself up to capitalize on the scenario no matter what happened. |

Final Plea I feel I have to apologize for the massive amounts of text I've already made you read. To me it was a way of releasing all this energy from the game that has just been accumulating since Day 1. I felt that all the work I put in until now deserved a proper send off. Anyway, I'm already rambling and I want to make this plea more simple, so I'll jump right into it. I did my best to prove my competence and abaility in this game. If I haven't convinced you of that by now, another wall of text detailing my thought processes probably won't make much of a difference. So I'll just reiterate what I touched on in my answer to Rosinante. My fellow finalists did a fantastic job as well and I'll be happy for whoever does end up winning, but I truly believe that I lived up to what it means to play and experience and succeed in this game. I made plans, formed alliances, made and broke pacts, carried out strategies, stressed, had massive amounts of fun, made friends and so many other things that mean so much in this game. And while I certainly didn't do this all on my own (there's no way I could be here without some of the most awesome, dependable, capable, and lovely allies anyone could ever have the pleasure of working with <3), I ultimately did things my way, , on my own terms, and I'm still here standing to tell about them. To me, that's what it means to be the Sole Survivor. I hope you agree and thank you for your time
