The Garden of the Hesperides Beware for within The Garden of the Hesperides is a single tree where immortality-giving golden apples grow. The Hesperide nymphs were given the task of tending to the tree, but occasionally plucked from it themselves. In order to safe guard the tree, also placed in the garden is a never-sleeping, hundred-headed, dragon, named Ladon, as an additional safeguard.
