Yall must be tired of seeing that as a headline, but oh well. I read the part about a character being cliche. And as you can imagine, i was wondering about the one i was to create. Would a slightly nutty assassin who likes break into rhyme every now and then be too cliche? |

Actually that sounds rather non-cliched. Cliched is, in essence, the same thing that's been done so many times that people are sick of it. Maybe, once, it was original, and that's why people loved it and reused it so much untill it became dull and listless. Here are some examples of what I think cliches are: Attractive vampires. Stong-willed heroines. Casting Fireball. Something I call the 3 C's of personality: Cool, Calm, and Collected. Amnesia. Vampires and werewolves being enemies. A robot that hates humans because they are weak. A magic caster with power over nine-thousand. I can honestly say I've never heard or even thought of an assassin as you describe. Were they a bard, that might be a little cliched. Ooh, tell me your character will make amusing rhymes about killing someone? (morbid humor at its best! :ph43r: ) |

But of course. Thats kind of the reason I want her to be making the rhymes. And thank you very much. I would like to add another question to this as well. Concerning the first topic for the application, do the men have to be talking to my character? |
