My 2ft tank holds 60L, it's 60cm x 30cm x 36cm which is effectively 2ft x 1ft x 1ft 3inches (or there abouts, i'm not so good at using the old measurements  )

55L here... 15 gallon: 2ft X 1ft X 1ft... you can get 24" X 18" X 18" as a fairly common size, too, which is 128L...

Best way to get accurate literage is

L X W X D divide by 1000 in CM

You can also take the measurements from the inside of the glass, and from the gravel to water height to be more accurate, as the gravel only holds a few litres :thumb

I have a 62cm x 32 x 45 tank, which is 90L. No fish for this one though, Green Tree Frogs live here! :victory

Is there an equation to work out how much water is contained around gravel? I guess you'd have to account for average gravel size... would be handy to know though.
