Okay, I'm a bit puzzled, I have a pair of Longnose Whips and, at the time One Female Royal. (I have just recently purchased a male from Uncle Aggie.)

This is one of my Longnose Whips

Did you notice how the fry look like Royals?
There was only the pair of Longnose and the female Royal when the fry arrived.
What do you think?, could they be crossed. :confused :confused

I know what you mean.... Mars pointed one out to me at Aggies on Monday and now the more pics I see of them the more they are getting to me...

But I don't need anymore fish... cause I don't have the room... yet

One fish i have never bred Mars, time will tell but they certainly look more like little royals, by the markings.

But then the 2 species can look similar when small.

Time will tell

Very nice looking catties.
