I have a 60L tank on my desk at work. I have a colony of guppies, a couple of small BN, gastromyzon and albino cories in there... glass shrimp, snails, snails, and more snails - in an effort to reduce the snails, I added a clown loach... who is living up to his name... I don't see how people can't like clown loaches, he's comical, inquisitive, and balances snails on his nose for breakfast, lunch and dinner... Anyway, back to feeding time... the guppies, and the cory's, if they've been good, get a treat of some blackworms... I have one of those worm feeder cones, plus I spill some in the tank to give the cories a head start... after the initial frenzy, the worms get smart and stay in the feeder, the fish mill around in the hopes of a worm sticking it's head through a hole... the clown swims up through the middle of a pack of eager guppies, sticks it's nose into the feeder through a hole, sucks hard like he's pulling a snail out of it's shell, and swims off with a worm... the guppies hover, stunned, all asking 'how the HELL did he do that???'... the guppies bump their noses on the feeder calling 'come out, come out, little worm, little worm...' - the worms steadfastly refuse... Arnie comes up, helps himself to another worm and swims off chewing on it... it's an absolute classic, I'm going to video it next time... lol |
