The Blacksmith Quarter. Full of tall buildings, and taller tales. NPCs and players both plying their trade, undercutting and sniping the competition. It was impossible to make it ten feet without being called upon to peruse the latest crafts. Of course, this worked to Shiro's advantage. Many of the player traders were more than willing to get up close and personal in order to show off their weaponry. This resulted in her walking away with a set of ebon daggers for an absolute steal. Of course, they still ran her enough col to make new armour infeasible. Great. Running a fair-skinned hand through her honey-blonde hair, she muttered a curse or three. It'd take a lot of questing to get anything worthwhile, and the majority would probably be too tough with her gear as it stood. Still, standing around being ogled wouldn't help. Or would it? No, she decided. It would not. Turning on her heels, she made her way to the quest board, located in the square. Chocolate eyes dimmed as they skimmed across the board that potentially held her only monetary salvation. As she expected, there were a great deal of things to do. Of course, most of them required parties, or item levels far greater than her own. "Terror Worm Takedown, The Knight Alight, The Red River of Ruin... jeez. Aren't there any nice quests?" She sighed. A trio of heavily-equipped warriors made their way over. Registered a quest. Left. "Just what am I supposed to do now?" she complained, to nobody in particular. |

"I don't know about you, but complaining sure seems to be working", Kiran yawned, approaching the quest board, without so much as looking at the girl to the side. He knew she hadn't been talking to him, or anyone for that matter. In fact, the girl appeared to be alone, sulking over the quests. The young man stood next to her, clutching his head with his right hand, and stretching his left to the side. His jet black hair stood up in various places, providing him with an unkempt appearance, along with his slightly tattered clothing. His hair explainable due to his latest habit - Kiran had began to take to napping in between his questing, and had just recently awoken from his most recent slumber. "Besides, with a quest like The Red River of Ruin, how could you not be intrigued?" |
