Angelic Night
Guildmaster

For the story of Albion, little is known due to a long period of decline. It has been known that Albion was ruled by a loyal bloodline. This bloodline culminated by the rule of Archon. By this time, Albion was a peaceful and prosperous land, with Archon's kingdom ruling over every corner of Albion. However, Archon came into possession of a sword of untold power that soon began to corrupt him and, eventually, his entire kingdom of over which he ruled.

Soon, numerous mammoth size construction projects were begun to create strange structures all over the land of Albion. Mysterious, enormous guards began guarding the four main energy sources of Albion and Archon's castle. These were known as the focus sites. New creatures, deadly beyond power began roaming throughout the land, terrorizing the people of Albion as a 'darkness' spread far and wide throughout the world. Sometime after this, Archon and his sword which had been known as the Swords of Aeons vanished, bringing a sudden collapse to the kingdom. However, the 'darkness' remained, casting a wave of fear throughout Albion. The people were no longer safe.

One of the most famous institutions during this time is known as the Heroes' Guild. It is operating out of the former royal castle of the Old Kingdom. The Guild is a center of learning and training for Heroes. They are renowned mercenaries that are active in all parts of Albion. Through the Guild, Heroes are contracted as thieves, soldiers, guards, rescuers, and many other jobs the people of Albion are willing to pay Heroes to perform. This helps them turn to either side as Good or Evil.

Beginning at a young age, as a child students at the Guild are instructed in the ways of swordsmanship, archery, magic, and intellectual study. However, Heroes after graduation are not bound to follow the orders of the Guild. They are able to make their own paths, their own choices, their own... destiny. Originally members of the guild could only take on quests of the good nature. However soon an old Hero known as Weaver and a band of others including Maze led a revolt against the former guild. They fought for their view that heroes should be allowed to walk any path they wish. They were victorious in this revolt, as Weaver, as suggested by Scythe, had now became the Guildmaster and all heroes may do good or evil quests.

One Hero, known as Jack of Blades was well Renowned. However, wherever he walked, evil would spread. He was the most powerful Hero of his time. He was after two things that lead to one... the Ultimate Power, The Sword of Aeons. The two things he needed was a slave to help him find the things he needed and the Bloodline of Archon. The slave was Maze, who was thought to be the most powerful good source in all the land. There was only three people left of the Bloodline. A young Hero whose home was known as Oakvale. His home was burnt down when he was young and he was brought to the Guild. The other was his sister who was attacked during the raid and the burning of Oakvale. She had her eyes cut out of her sockets and soon was employed as the Seer of Twinblade. Last was the mother of the two. She was captured by Jack of Blades. The Hero and the sister soon teamed up together to free their mother.

In the end though it didn't matter. Soon the mother was killed, opening up the Focus Sites. Her blood was needed to open up each of the site's power. The blood of Archon was needed in order to release the Key and to make it be known by ancient magic. The key was needed in order to release the Sword of Aeons. The Hero, known as the Chicken Chaser in his beginning of his career as a Hero. They fought and soon Jack was defeated. Jack came back though years later. This time though in ancient form that was only seen in the time of Archon. He came back as a Dragon. He had managed to escape death.

Years later, the Guild is under a new ruler. The Guild had almost been destroyed in lifetime of Jack of Blades. Apprentices perished in the fire, Heroes died trying to find the Focus sites and stop Jack of Blades. The Guild had been rebuilt. Weaver the old Guildmaster had died soon after the second defeat of Jack of Blades. Jack's mask, destroyed. The new Guildmaster is known as Angelic Night. He was one of the few Heroes that was left in the Guild.

There were new Apprentices in the Guild. They would soon be the new Heroes of tomorrow in the land of Albion. The forces of Darkness is still around. However, our Heroes are doing their best to destroy the Darkness. But who knows if they will be able to succeed in their ultimate quest? Only time can seem to tell just that.
