![]() _____HP 500/500_____ _____MP 300/300_____ There are benefits in playing an MMO with RL friends. You get to be yourself without worrying whether they'll misjudge you or not, plus it's a golden source for inside jokes. But, of course, it has its disadvantages as well. Especially for Jaehyun. With a light jump, he was off the bed and up on his feet, his eyes adjusting to the lighting of the room he had left his avatar in. They'd gotten through the first part of the Legrue corridor in one go -again, for the 10th time-, and had ended up logging out in the central cave city, after finding a safe inn to leave their avatars in. And by they, of course meaning Jaehyun's party. His friends. His precious RL friends who had ditched him today, saying they were all too busy to login and go through the dungeon again to reach the exit. Jaehyun took a moment to scowl at the rest of the party members, seemingly sleeping on the beds around him, and then proceeded to kick the one closest to him in the gut. He knew it wouldn't do anything to the actual person, but it felt good nevertheless. "Bastards," he mumbled, sighing and then leaving the room without a second glance. Had his situation been different, he wouldn't have minded trying to solo his way out of the cave dungeon. But in his current state, he was as capable as a low-level monster. His survival depended solely on his teammates' fighting skills. Sure he had a sword, but he'd barely used it, and was discouraged from doing so too. Now, every time he decided to hone his swordsmanship it just seemed embarrassing and he stopped before even unsheathing the sword. He wanted to kick something so badly. There was a flight of stairs leading to a small tavern under the inn. He almost bumped into one of the NPCs as he came down, and even murmured an apology. It got him a few weird looks from the players occupying some of the tables, but he was too pissed to notice. He threw himself down on a seat at an open table, and stared up to the ceiling with mild murderous intend. He'd get his revenge eventually. He'd bail on them next time they mentioned anything about a dungeon, he thought, but then discarded it. He did need the money after all, and they were his only way of getting anything out of a fight. His eyes, now framed by furrowed brows, changed target. They now pierced at the door of the inn, as if it had wronged him in some way and he was expecting an apology from it. Should I go shopping? Is there anything else I can do, anyway? He thought and debated, and almost missed the waitress waiting on his order. "Just water," he said, and continued his staring contest with the door. In both real life and in video games, the thing that tends to make the world go round is money. And Yami was...a little short, to say the least. This could possibly explain why he was going from town to town looking for the job with the lowest risk for a decent reward. Or maybe he just wanted a challenge. Yeah, it's, uh, it's the first one. It's the first one there. He had even traveled to the central city in the Legrue Corridor, on the basis that most people wouldn't think of the place when they were looking for quests. It seemed fairly logical, right? Making a beeline for the closest inn, seeing as they usually had the randomly generated quests, and he didn't feel like searching for a special npc if he could help it. It just seemed like a waste of time compared to the rewards you could usually get from their requests. Walking in Yami found himself looking straight at a man, who seemed to be glaring straight at him. Feeling a little uncomfortable, he stepped to the side, hoping that the dudes eyes wouldn't follow, before opening his mouth. "Do you look at all the guys like that or are you just happy to see me?". |

![]() _____HP 500/500_____ _____MP 300/300_____ His vision blurred unconsciously, his eyes still fixed on the door. He had almost decided on wasting all of his money on some fancy equipment or something, and was currently just waiting for his glass of water, before delving into the world of MMO shopping. However, having nowhere else to focus at, and still sort of thinking about alternatives, his eyes remained at the door. They only moved to follow the individual who entered through it, breaking its stern stability. A blink after, he realized that he had long stopped directing his own eyes consciously, and had ended up glaring at a total stranger for no reason. He immediately sprang out of his chair and slammed his fists on the table. "Ah!" He gained a few stares from the rest of the players in the room, but didn't seem to notice. "I'm so sorry!" He almost bowed in apology, but decided against it. This wasn't Seoul after all. Jaehyun sat down slowly again, sighing in the process. He was a miserable existence without his friends around to make him comfortable. "I'm really sorry, man, I didn't mean to glare at you like that," he smiled timidly at the -from what he could tell- Imp, and motioned at chair opposite to him. "I can treat you to something as an apology?," he really didn't know where he was going with this, but being alone in this world just felt weird for him, so might as well get acquainted with someone other than his RL pals. "Besides, I have way more than enough to spare," he mumbled quietly, mostly to himself. Weapon Skills Used Magic Skills Used Race Skills Used |
