For all the fairies in Alfheim, none truly knew the actual story to how it came to be. Even though its origins was of nothing but a game, there was still terminology hidden within its work. Down below a steep waterfall, far off in the distance where the large coy, mutated catfish lept from the waters was seen a large army or perhaps a guild, marching towards the ever brilliant Aelf territory. Within its midst was a general eyeballing it of sorts with a crazed look in his eye. "Taking this place should give us high advantage over them damn sylphs" the large imp would say, in his hand was a halberd that he had been yearning to use. Probably this war that he was going to start was going to give him even more reputation points than he could imagine. Hell, maybe he could command over two factions once this whole thing was over. Gaining the imp's approval, he couldn't see why not. What he had backing him were archers and mages ready to fire their most powerful spells when they neared.

They couldn't possibly lose this, huh? Among the sky was a scouting regimen of undine, a small little guild that had decided to help take over this place. None of them had become the sole leader of their race yet but gaining or capturing a territory would set the scales too high for them not to. Leading them was a big breasted woman, obviously drunk from all that ale from the situation but surprisingly she could fly upright. Her men which flew beside her began to steam under their armor as she flopped and flipped in ways that'd reveal some of the layouts of her delectable features. "L-lady Orasis, are you ok?" the armored undine clad in blue said as he blushed underneath his helmet. "Why wouldn't I be? Wooo, all those reputation points are getting me fired up! I could just kiss someone!" the moment she'd say that they'd all gagreelishly flop upside down, twitching with purple hues clouding their figures. She wasn't too dumbfounded among most but her sense of attraction along with power was something to be aware of.

All these fairies came for this place that had appeared in the sky, not knowing that their demises were at hand. The view was taken to a bright accordance of light where a feather robed male, knelt down to a shrine of the goddess freyja. Since his vanishing, Aoel had learned many things that were going to happen and why things weren't as they were. He had been teleported here where the goddess freyja had appeared to him. Gifting him with the knowledge and necessary tools to complete the quest which she bestowed upon him. In a flashback when seeing the beautiful NPC, the quest line would blink in front of him while he hovered his hand over it and accepted it. The white haired fairy snickered to himself as he rose from his knee. "I guess its time to meet our new friends, huh?" Aoel said with a confident tone as he stood over the pinnacle of the area and held up his hand.

His dandelion eyes stared out unto the numerous of fairies that so wanted to claim this place as their own. But there was more to it than that, hell, it wasn't his business who wanted this place or not. He just sought out the more unlikely odds of surviving and likely took them with haste. His white hair, glistening from the halo over him, began to wildly flail from a powerful breezw as the clouds above started to turn gloomy and gray, a word wall appearing around him. "What the hell" The imp general announced as he watched the hazardous wind skid his men back by force, including even himself. Lady orasis watched as the powerful force scattered all her men about, yet she only looked in enticement towards what was conducting such power. "Ohhh myy, I have to have him!" she said with a tiny giggle and a cringe of her eyes as she was pushed back. The view was brought to Aoel while the beta symbol brightly extended into the mix of the word wall and his face grew intrigued.

"ANGELO!" Aoel yelled as the climatic moment grew cinematic, giant wings extended out of the clouds and a elegant face would pop out of its existence, their vision being restraint by cloth. But before anymore of their appearance could be seen. The great light Deva would swipe down with a mighty swing, decimating all of the feeble fairies below with a shockwave of explosive light that faded out the entire scene in blinding white contrast. To what remained of the army was nothing but discouragement, never had they seen a power as great as a floor boss. "Uhg, you're annoying" The imp announced as he gathered himself to his feet and dusted off the debris that collected on his clothing. When scanning the area, he could see his men nearly about to give. Stumbling from the awful vertigo along with their life gauges depleting rapidly, he knew whatever this guy was, he wasn't joking.

The gentle breeze swept over Yami as he fell through the air. He had heard that something was going to go down in this area, and that a bunch of alliances had been formed. He didn't really care about what was happening so much as he did about how the people would deal with it. He had seen a couple of raids, always from a safe distance, and it was remarkable how even when the enemy destroyed any tactics a party had come up with what the people could come up with.

A while back he had seen one such group, mostly comprised of imps like himself, he also spotted a couple of undine among them. Figuring they knew where they were going he had tailed them, staying far enough back that they either wouldn't notice him or wouldn't care.

This was how he came to survive the first blast without a scratch, the first gale of wind blowing him back and then flying away as fast as possible. A few moments passed before Yami decided he was safe and he turned around to watch, just in time to see the figure emerge and rain destruction on the force in front of him. Not even the few boss fights he had been a part of were capable of this.

His mind screamed at him to run, even though he knew it was a game he couldn't shake the fear of imminent death. His body froze though, as he saw the hp bars of the others falling. Without even thinking about it, as though his body had a mind of it's own, he drew his blade and flew towards the fray.

Ziana was found leaning against a stony pillar behind Aoel, observing the fellow aelf work his charm from the shadows. She was astonished by his second attack but was unsure if the war was already over or was it just the beginning. She stayed put, gently watching him in awe as the echoes from the destruction screeched through the air.

She slowly approached the teen from behind. Silently leaning in towards his ear, “Aoel, is it over?” Came her soft voice in a whisper. Ziana had caught a glimpse of his sincere expression moments ago and stood close to him as she looked out onto the battlefield. There were many still weak and breathing, as a few had been reduced to balls of light. She gazed back sorrowfully to Aoel, her mind racing. There was an eerie silence settling into the battle but was broken with another attack from Aoel's Deva.

Ziana took a few steps back as she shielded her eyes from the gust of wind with her arm. Her white hair flailing, she winced her eyes as she wondered what was happening in that mind of his.

Were these faries truly ignorant enough to take Aelf land, it wasn't going to stand by him. Aoel's white locks ferociously flared up as the contrast from his word wall highlighted his face. This war wasn't the problem which held him from his true objective, they were just in the way. After the destruction that Angelo soon delivered upon them, the mighty Deva began to fade away back into the cloudy sky. Was that enough to stop them in their tracks? The aelf didn't think so, which lead to the decision that he'd have to go down there and handle it himself. A faint whisper came into his ear from the female known as Ziana behind him, she too worried about Aoel and shared the same concerns he did about this virtual world they all came and played in. "They still wish to fight. There's no other option." Aoel began to say as he turned his soft, yellow gaze to the girl.

The halo over his head, ever hovered silently. Though what came to the girl's surprise, as Aoel spoke his beautiful bright wings manifested behind his back. His hand laid across the hilt to his sheathed katana on his hip and most importantly, the small smile he gave her just before leaning forward into a steep drop below towards the army. That single expression told her he'd keep her safe, though it also held determination. To everyone else who witnessed the Aelf descending from above, looked as though it was a star falling from the heaven's. The imp general snarled and grit his teeth as he readied his large halberd and signaled the remaining mage forces. "Burn it to ash!" He shouted out as they responded almost immediately with chanting; a large amount of word walls appearing before being launched.

Aoel was fearless, he moved fluently across the air as though it was made for him. Barrel rolling into a drop, he'd level out and powerfully throttle towards the numerous fireballs that raced towards him. "Ooo what pretty wings! Go fetch him for me!" Orasis asked with a drunk giggle as her platoon jetted off towards the Aelf. Aoel maneuvered in between a few incoming fiery spheres, swiftly unsheathing his blade from it's cover. He was calm in this moment and unlike most people in this situation, wanted to take them all on. It wasn't that it was reckless or selfish of him to do. Aoel just liked a challenge like this, drawing his arm back he quickly lunged it into one of the undine troops that was closest to him. Diminishing the rest of their life gauge and reducing them to a ball of energy.

The amount of speed Aoel was going at was un parallel, he moved alarmingly fast from one soldier to the next while suddenly a fireball came into the mix and interrupted him from striking down yet another. A small explosion would bloom into the sky while the imp general cracked a smirk across his face. "Gotcha" Came his voice, dark smoke screening the scene from the air.

There was a brief moment of quiet before another attack howled towards the remaining force. Yami checked his life bar and saw that a small amount had been lost, but he was still in the green. He was happy to see the massive entity retreat, but he also knew that couldn't be all there was. There was still at least half the original force left after all.

He caught sight of the speeding aelf as the rest did, a streaking flash of light that hurtled towards them. While it may have looked like a suicide run, Yami knew that something else was up. He could have finished them all with that monster and not revealed himself. Whoever he was, he had skills and knew it.

As the person with the highest life on the imp side, Yami also had a feeling he could keep up with him. And so, as soon as he saw a fireball connect, he flew towards him, screaming towards the undine troops. "Somebody back me up, now!. Holding sword level with him and pointing towards where he saw the aelf last, he got an odd feeling, like a throbbing in the mark on his hand.

Ziana quickly came to the edge of the cliff, looking over. Her heart began to race as she saw Aoel plummet towards the army. She grit her teeth, her mind racing with a thousand thoughts. She was confident in Aoel’s strength though he didn’t have to do it alone. With little to no thought, she lept off with a fierce gale whipping from her place. The sensation of the air tickled her skin while her hair was blown back. Within this moment, as she dove, swooping down in a arch. Her delicate, glittering wings appeared along her back and spanned out. Stopping mid way, she scanned the battlefield. Her hair gently falling in front of her face, her eyes focused. Ziana could see that they still lacked the sense to turn back while they could. But she couldn’t help but feel, that their was, thump thump. Came a pulse in her hand as she turned to see Aoel, blitzing through soldiers. Though looking closer, she could see a particular imp racing towards him.

Everything would freeze frame as though time had froze. And in the midst of the soldier attacking Aoel and the fire projectile meeting its mark, Ziana would appear in a instant. A lustering light blinking into reality, it was almost as though she had been there the entire time if someone truly noticed. She could help but tack into him, hugging him as she closed her eyes. Her beta symbol humming, she’d hide her warming smile before softly parting her lips. “Gaia” The female whispered, the wind carrying her words.

Within that moment, motion captured a rocky palm forming in front of the two just before the fireball collided into it and created the large explosion. Blasting everything in front of them away, Gaia rose from the depths of the earth, a feminine apparel with green long hair falling next to a stoney constructed face similar to mayan buildings. Their eyes exhausted a neon turquoise aura. Her body was covered in thick luscious green vines giving off a slight green hue, emphasizing her body.

Without a glance, the golem would kneel on one knee and anchor its fist high into the air. Ziana still kept Aoel in her arms while the titanic deity took charge in slamming a punch into the ground. Sending out a multiple geysers of steam and lava that’d create simultaneous explosions. “Gaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh” Came some of the warrior fairies cries as the imp general’s posture began to tremble with anger as he watched the troops one by one be annihilated, turning into balls of light.

Battles came and went like sand blowing aimlessly in the wind. All the warriors who came to battle had no idea what they were dealing with, and the aelf was attempting to turn them back now before the worse was sure to come. Aoel noticed the fireball heading straight for him and was prepared on swiping it in half with relative ease. His yellow orbs coldly gazed upon the flaming ball's core while another soldier tried to follow their orders in catching him. The orange light bloomed over his face while his clothes rippled from the gales that whipped up. Just before the Aelf moved forward, he was stopped in his tracks by a cling to his torso. Ziana had appeared in a flash within the moment, her presence didn't go un noticed by the others fore she'd then whisper the name of her Deva to Aoel.

The rumble could be described as one of the worse feelings in this game, the loud boom that came from the collision of the flamed spell, shattered most dimensions in the area where the rainbow glaze coated. They wanted a war to which they thought they could easily win, though wars weren't no longer won with men or swords. They were won with, monsters. The magnificent deva screeched in the air and demonstrated its power gap between it and the crowds below. Though Aoel could feel something was wrong, the throbbing in his arm showed this but the thing was. It wasn't just throbbing anymore, it was now glowing with sparkles hazing from it. "There's another among them" Aoel's voice came as the dark smoke began to disperse and out came flying in a individual imp blitzing towards him.

He'd applaud his efforts for getting this far though what this other did was fight for the wrong side, a pearly colored gate started to form behind the army. Orasis slowly turned to gaze at the light that spread out like it was friendly, the same would go for the rest of them who weren't destroyed by Gaia's attack. By now, Yami could feel the presence of malevolent intent that came from this gate. If his monitors weren't going crazy, the mere gravity would shift around him which would certainly catch his attention. Everyone's curiosity was met by a single soldier being dumb enough of walking towards the light before terrifyingly being snatched by a horrific hand and quickly pulled in.

The initial scream broke through the air as multiple spider like legs breached the core of the doorway. Shooting out at close by soldiers who were reduced to fiery essences. Aoel grit his teeth as he watched it from a far. "Too late.." Came the Aelf's words while dark manifestations tore through the corridor, everything went mute in the moment. People's limbs were being hacked off by shadowy, hazed figures moving incredibly. Though as time would also tell, these group of strangers had met before all this chaos began. The view started to fade and white out, carrying into a week following into the chaotic day.

A week before
Aoel laid across elegant thighs under the beaming sun, he was averagely chilling with a nice day like this one. In reality, his day had just gone fine--

Flashback
Morning hit with a sunrise and some of its light poured in through the shut shades of the boy named Aoel's room. Aoel however was already up, just laying in his bed while looking at the ceiling. He knew he had to go to work today but didn't feel like getting out of bed. His vibrant yellow eyes looked peacefully around until it caught the ray of light. Today was going to be the day that Alfheim online version two took off, and ever since a few weeks ago. This beta tester was highly looking forward to such a treat. Aoel went on with his day with smiles and chuckles, serving coffee at a local cafe wasn't the highlight of his day but at least he brought people a small ounce of happiness with each serving.

Aside from being in Alfheim, Aoel seemed like a different person entirely. Even his messy hair and the way he politely greeted people would throw off anyone. But this young lad had a heart like no other beneath this mask or disguise he so masqueraded around in. Aoel gently placed a small cup of coffee on a plate as he carried it to a young woman. "And here's your coffee mam" Aoel said kindly as the woman nodded, pleased to his kindness. It wasn't tough to get through the several hours that passed, but to be honest Aoel couldn't wait any longer to sync himself in Alfheim. It went by rather quickly and by the time he knew it, Aoel was already home.

He quickly took off his shoes and loosened his bow in his collar before his cuff links. It didn't take him long to lay in his bed and place the VR (Virtual reality) drive over his eyes and head. There were many things that could relieve his stress, girls, studying for college or possibly work but the only thing that could make him escape this dull reality was.. "Start link" The teen said as the device turned on and warped him instantly to Alfheim.

--Small slender fingers played in the teen's hair as he relaxed himself. Leaves rustled in a fragile draft while local monsters pounced around in the grassy fields below. This was the floating territory, Folkangr. Home to the Aelf race, multiple Aelf's walked around averagely. Merchants and bards of all kind, Aoel gently began to open his eyes as he raised his wrist and looked at the beta brand that sat there. "There are more out there" Aoel announced to the female behind him.

Yami knew he saw something moving before his blade struck the solid barrier. It was then he knew he miscalculated, believing that there was only one enemy to take on, when there was another unseen. He kicked off of the stone hand, feeling a slight tug as the blade caught on the stone before sliding free. Falling towards the ground he saw the remainder of the attacking force fall victim to a great shockwave.

Using his wings to get a burst of speed he launched himself towards the ground. He knew what strange power these faireies were using, and although he didn't want to, he knew what needed to be done. Kicking up dust as he landed, he plunged his sword into the ground, the blade flashing white for a second before flakes of snow began to fly out of it. The area around him started to drop in temperature instantly, nearing freezing within seconds.

A massive block of ice quickly formed in the air above Yami as he got ready to summon the ice giant, the monster that lived within Yami while he was in the game. Taking a deep breath he got ready to unleash it.

"Laufey!"

The ice shattered in an explosion of light and razor sharp ice, shredding those close to Yami. Where it was a moment ago there now stood a massive, humanoid creature, with blue skin and and bestial features. It let out a roar, showing pointed fangs towards the sky, filling Yami with disgust that something like that would have bonded with him in any way.

Something was off with his sensors as the beast finished it's show of power, and then a burst of light filled his sight. He saw a group of hazy figures moving through what fairies hadn't already been slaughtered, and his mind went back to when he had seen something similar.

Yami made his way into the town, past the guards the system had guarding the gate. They never even looked his way, but that was to be expected.

As he reached the weapon shop to drop off the loot he saw that some sort of event was happening. Some sort of random loot chest was on sale to new players, but it cost actual money. Walking past it without any intention to actually buy it, the loot list popped up. Glancing at it, the weapons were actually pretty cool. Clicking on the buy button, He sent the charge to his account, and watched as a notification indicated that the item was deposited into his inventory.

Curious, he opened his inventory and clicked on the icon, watching as the chest appeared in front of him. Opening it he watched as a quality rapier came out of it, with some flavour text to indicate it was more than just a common weapon. 'More than just a bad sunburn'.

Ziana’s hands quickly let go of Aoel as she slowly faced the army. She saw the destruction Gaia had caused, a sly smile spreading across her innocent lips. Her eyes enlightened from her power and beauty as she observed. Ziana looked out towards the field as she heard Aoel’s voice in her head, a small whisper at first. She blinks quickly, recalling his words as she hid her expression of surprise. Her heart skipped a beat as the one with a deva made his way to the gates behind the army.

Ziana slowly put her hand on Aoel’s shoulder taking a few steps back. A feeling of uneasiness washed over her, one of the imp soldiers was swallowed into the light before everything else rolled out like a carpet. Ziana recoiled a bit more, her hand slipping off of Aoel's shoulder. She watched cringing at the screams that filled the air while the figures that came out from the brightness, lashed out into the chaos. Players being ripped apart as if they were just dolls. She closed her left eye, her thoughts pulling her from the reality while the scene faded away.

Ziana had her silky hair tied up as she held her battle-axe in her right hand. She was slightly bent over breathing hard as she looked at her opponents. One of the men who was tall and buff came charging at her with knives sliding out from his sleeves. He lashed out at her as the blade scratched the tip of her nose while she quickly took a leap back. The second man came up from behind and Ziana was ready, she'd jump up in mid air, twirling a flipping kick right in hid while she landed gracefully back on her feet. This day was tiring though went by for the young female warrior, all that was on her mind was spending time with Aoel today. Moments later the scene was brought to Aoel enjoying the blazing, virtual sun on his face as a hand groomed his white hair. Ziana's fingers combed through his locks as she enjoyed the serene area with him. "T-they'll fiind us, the mark lures us all" The female said as her brows grew worried.

It wasn't the fact that Ziana could be wrong in her statement, there were a lot things unexplained in alfheim. And one of those big wonders were the beta testers and their Deva. The Aelf gently shared a gaze to his hand while he slowly raised it up and observed the foreign design branded on it. This was defiantly something he hadn't seen before in the game. As the two would lay there, Aoel began to wonder what today would bring them. They could easily go out and search for things but an average quest wouldn't satisfy his need for epic adventure.

With a swift pop of his legs, Aoel landed completely upright in a stand before leading his arms in the air for a decently good stretch. Meanwhile, there seemed to be a large popular man entering into town. "I can never get tired of watching these weasels scurry about." The general imp exclaimed with an entourage of imps beside him. Aoel had heard of this hidden quest that only popped up with a party of three in the team. With these requirements met, he could finally get an original sword skill. Thump thump, Aoel could feel that another wielder of a deva was in the facility.

Thump thump, it would come again as the aelf grasped his hand and scanned around. Catching a young male walking in the market. It'd feel as though wind blew across the young imp's neck just before a sudden voice would speak to him. "You're new to the game" Aoel spoke as a gentle smile arose on his lips and the halo over his head sparkled.
