Instead creates terribly volatile liquid substance that causes projectile vomiting and watery eyes. Experiment Number 008: Failed Medical plant designed to be a cure for various viruses. Instead causes severe poison that causes a burning sensation in the stomach for several hours. Experiment Number 019: Failed Medical plant designed to be a cure for various viruses. Instead causes hair loss and temporary blindness. Experiment Numbers 021 - 040: Failed Medical plants. Sherman’s series of attempts to cure his sister’s disease, all ineffective. Stopped when one of his attempts nearly killed her. Experiment Number 044: Successful Medical plant capable of curing a sore throat and clearing out nasal passages when ingested with hot tea. Experiment Number 046 (Lily Love Oil): Oil created from a special hybrid flower. It soaks in through skin contact and soothes muscles, causing a warm sensation over one’s skin. Smells sweet and pleasant and tastes like honey. Good for skin care and lessens scarring. Experiment Number 055: Successful Medical plant able to cure over one hundred variants of the common cold, and gives limited immunity to fifty more for about three months after ingested. First major break through for Sherman. Experiment Number 061 (The Blue Miracle): Created for his State Alchemist exam, the flower’s petals contain a high amount of vital nutrients for it’s mass, giving the consumer a small but noticeable energy boost. It was a perfect hybrid, capable of reproducing on it’s own with minimal alchemical assistance. Experiment Number 065 (Healing Wraps): A fabric created from the plant fibers of a hybridized plant. The weave has a natural regenerative property that accelerates the rate of healing, as well as kills harmful bacteria around the wound. Experiment Number 071 (Iron Vine Plant): One of Sherman’s first attempted militarized plant types. The plant itself is almost solid wood with a strength of about double that of oak. Of course, it can still be cut into pieces by steel blades. However this plant cannot grow on it’s own, requiring alchemy. This made it a failure as far as the military was concerned, as the plant would only be useable by someone capable of plant-based alchemy, which most State Alchemists have little use for. And in the long run steel weaponry and stone fortifications was still preferred. Experiment Number 074 (Needle Vine Plant): A special type of nut that can be charged with Sherman’s plant-based alchemy. When launched it has a delayed effect, but will burst to life with a dozen sharp, thorny vines that seek out the nearest heat source and impales into the target, causing a large number of flesh wounds but rarely being fatal. Experiment Number 079 (Dizzy Fall Down Flower): A special species of flower that, when in full bloom, releases a highly toxic spore that when inhaled causes an extreme sense of vertigo and nausea. The flower has bright blue petals that look to be spinning when exposed to it’s spores. Experiment Number 081 (Greenfire Moss): A type of moss that rapidly spreads over the surface of any object. The mold is highly combustible, able to be ignited into a raging inferno with a single spark. Due to the chemical makeup of the moss the fire burns green. Experiment Number 101 (Heart Breaker): Failed Medical plant designed to cure heart disease. When ingested it had an almost 100% chance of causing a severe heart attack within minutes, so long as it was in a healthy dose. The toxins of the plant were alchemically altered to not kick in until it hit the heart, though Sherman had expected the formula to break away clogged arteries and kill bacteria in the heart, not damage the heart tissue. Considered a success by the military and taken as a new poison type. Edited by Ehecatl, Mar 30 2017, 02:01 AM.
