![]() TGE’s solution to a formidable obstacle that PS2 game modders must face: the executable. Normally, replacing files would lead to the game not finding data where it expects it, but the aptly named patcher reads your new CVM files and generates a new executable that adheres to the offsets of your new files. The download also features a guide and some batch files courtesy of Shrinefox, monyarm and TGE for those more intimidated by command prompts. Included as well is the CVMtool that splits CVM files into ISOs and header files for further editing. Update 7/5/2017: PersonaPatcher has been updated. The batch files have been unified and are now much easier to use thanks to TGE. Download: [Hidden Content: Login/Register to View] My Guide on how to use it Edited by ShrineFox, Jul 5 2017, 01:04 PM.

Hello! I hope someone is still prowling around this thread. I have a question. Is there any reason why the split cvm.bat would consistently not produce a header even though I'm waiting for it to close on its own? I'm working with P4 and can get it to spit out a header if I'm splitting BGM or ENV but not BTL or DATA. I think I've gotten as far as I can without using PersonaPatcher so any help would be appreciated! edit: here's an error I get right before it closes on its own Edited by ponkotsu, Aug 1 2016, 06:30 AM.

I've never seen that happen before, what region is your ISO? (Even that shouldn't matter though, really) My only guess is that the CVM is somehow corrupted or incomplete. A way to check that would be to compare the filesize to that of the one in the ISO, or to put it back in the ISO and see if the game still runs. However, I'm not sure how that would occur either if you're using UltraISO. |

Hi, I think I ran into a problem when patching the slus files to mod the bgm. I followed all the steps in the readme notes and it goes smoothly, but when patching the slus, there's an error occured. Here's the image of the error: http://i.imgur.com/Hc9fG3m.jpg Also when I tried to split Persona 3 FES bgm, the split CVM.bat command prompt immediately disappear and no split iso and header appear in the split folder. For some info I'm using Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 undub version. Any info or help for this problem is definitely helpful for me. Edited by XGoGame, Aug 5 2016, 11:48 AM.

Make sure you have the most up-to-date .NET framework installed. |

Hi. Sorry for the late reply, I have a lot of university project so I pretty much busy. So I installed the newest .net framework and so far the patching process until the end of the step no problem happened. But the new problem for me is, when I put the new bgm.cvm files and slus file into the iso, the Daemon tools won't recognize the new iso and the only file showing are AUDIO_TS AND VIDEO_TS (Here's the screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/eVa8bfO.jpg) and when I tried booting it with PCSX2, it's always crash even with the run elf method. I'm repacking the new iso with WinIso since you said any Iso editing program wouldn't be a problem. Also when I using the ultraiso to edit the iso, it seems that ultraiso doesn't recognize the iso files and it read the ps2 iso files as DVD-Video format instead of PS DVD format like in the tutorial in Youtube (Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/ewMImHg.jpg) Is there any fix to this? Since I already tries many ways but the results are still the same. |

Just to let you know, I finally solved the problem and able to run the modded game on the PCSX2! The problem is the file sorting got all messed up when I use WinIso to repack the modded ISO (The file got sorted by it's modified date). Instead I used DKZ studio to repack the ISO and it finally works. I'm sorry about my earlier post complaining that I can't mod the game succesfully and not doing the work carefully. Peace! |

I have the same problem as him. Can't get the splitting to produce a header. I'm using the Persona 3 FES undub version, is that a problem? Edit: Yeah tried with the USA version and it works fine. Must be it. Edited by Reishiki, Jul 2 2017, 01:48 AM.
