Reina sighed softly, glancing up at the clear blue skies of the world around her. Beautiful, just as beautiful as her own pale crystal blue eyes, crisp and attentive. Unfortunately however, the world revolving around with no mind paid to her was anything but. As far as the young adult woman was concerned, the few years she had spent working with the Amestrian Military were nothing short of a hassle, a note worthy chunk of time wasted. All because she had failed to reach Albert in time.

Closing her eyes to her own bitter thoughts, she pulled up the hood of her jacket, cropped to show her well toned mid-drift. She contemplated the memories, mulling them over quietly of the man she had come to know as Albert. The Chimera Expert had been a treasure to her, primarily because he was such a wonderful person to be around. Kind hearted, and eccentric. The man was easily excited by the prospects of advancements in his craft, and was always eager to lend a hand to her own. "Albert, my dear friend. I am so sorry." She whimpered aloud, clutching her silver pocket watch tight within her hand, listening to the dull ticking of time, cruel as it was, without him at her side.

Steeling herself, she sat up from her seat on the cold ground below her, dusting off her pants. Her eyes sparkling like crystallized shards of ice, as she thought on just where her feet would take her next. "I need access to a library." She mused privately to herself, slowly reattaching the chain to her pants as she carefully slid her trinket back into her pocket, patting it down slowly as if to tame a wild beast within it. She took a deep breath, pulled up her hood once more, trying to ensure that her identity would remain as it had for months now; secret to the bitter and cruel world around her. "I'll just sneak in, sneak out with a few books, and if any trouble crosses my path, I'll send out ol' Claymore and Muddane to dispatch of the threat." She nodded to herself, the curve of her lips turning upward at the punny pet names she'd devised for her Clay Serpents.

Just as she turned sharply on her heel however, the sound of footsteps made her heart run as cold as her eye color was beautiful. The sound was so close, and her paranoia was running laps in her mind as each step grew closer to her. On the defensive now, but unable to see this new comer, she grit her teeth and clenched her fists. "Alright....either show yourself now, or I will force you. I don't like being watched." She snarled to the alleyways shadowed end, awaiting to find this stranger who had been invading her privacy; not that that was a privilege she could call her own anymore.

Reina shrugged her shoulders simply, unsure of why this lunatic was getting so huffy over a situation that was inherently her own to deal with. "I wouldn't know. I've only dealt with this one. Besides it isn't so bad....." She sarcastically mused. "Well....outside of the 'Staying locked indoors until the cabin fever sets in....', keeping your face hidden. Judging from the way you're dressed right now, I'm surprised you're not used to it." She teased, leaning back against the wall, ignoring the feel of her hood slipping all the way off. Letting it willingly drop.

"I don't think it was just something as simple as convincing." She said, lifting a finger pointedly, as her eyes peered up in the sky again. "No, it couldn't have been. Because as I said prior, even the few souls I'd told about the trip were quick to say I had come back, and they had saw me leaving the scene of the crime. Whoever framed me didn't just go around spreading some misleading rumor, sir. They had someone my size, my body type.... everything." She sighed slowly. Her crystal blue eyes softening. "Someone basically who looked either exactly like me, or close enough to fool even the closest of friends of mine, in the dead of night, murdered Albert, and framed me. Right down to fixing their hair like mine." She mused again, twirling a thin strand of her own hair around her finger. "Course...my hair was a lot longer back then. I had to lob it off to avoid anyone asking questions...a mentor of mine, from a few towns over..., she helped me dye it as well after a while. Before that, it wasn't as dark. But that's not to say it was as lightly colored as yours." She shook her head lightly, with a small bitter smile. "And no, I don't imagine any of us are quick to turn heel on a friend....but whatever spooked them enough to do so...., that's what I want to find out. It's what I've been trying to figure out for a while now."
