Hello to my AAH family!

I wanted to give you a quick update :)

So far, I'm 6 days past my "due date", although a baby to me is not "due" until he/she arrives. This is pretty normal for me and babies. I keep joking with the children that maybe they have scared this one into not wanting to come out (especially when things get rowdy!! )

I'm feeling good and don't mind still being pregnant, really. My husband has to work today late and I'm praying everything will hold off (at least anything past early labor) until he gets home. My FIL will be here today working on the greenhouse and it's an uncomfortable thought of him here making phone calls to let everyone know when I like to be the one to say "when". It's very private and personal to us.

I say all of this because I am very crampy and sore today, moreso than usual, and I can't tell whether or not I was dreaming of strong contractions all night or if I was really having them! Probably a little bit of both. I can't fully remember though! I praise the Lord if they were that strong that I was able to sleep through them :) I've never done that before! So, I'm a little nervous but overall confident the Lord will only allow what is best for me and the baby.

I covet your prayers and can't wait to share news and pics with you!

Thank you for your prayers :)

I am still hanging out there and baby is hanging in......

Good contractions all day but noting consistent. I do know the time is near and drawing close.

As far as the FIL thing...God worked that one out today. It was suppose to be 60 and it was only 40 and damp. Not a good day to work outside.....

Hubby's home from work and ecstatic at the chance of meeting our little one in the next few days. You'll be getting updates for sure!

I am dying not having heard from you in a couple days! I want to call you, but at the same time, I don't want to disturb either.

I don't want to steal Sis. Joni's thunder, but just want to say that she had a healthy and safe home birth over the weekend.

So, I'm almost a month late for posting "soon", huh?! LOL!

Sorry to keep you hanging guys. As you can imagine I've been so busy..probably busier than a post-partum mama should be but the Lord is in control and His work must be done.

We had a baby girl on Apr 6, 2008. She weighed 8lbs even and was 21 inches long. She is a beautiful little one and I can hardly stop kissing her! We are all in love.

Here are a few pics I thought I'd share. Her name is Briellah.

Not going nuts here!!! :) Happy as a lark with all of it. I embrace even the pooy times!! LOL!!

I did have to switch over to disposables for a season......my wash machine broke. I could do the diapers by hand but I have a ton of furniture to move around and reorganize this week and don't have the time.

Anyone got a washboard????? LOL!!

Re: Cloth diapers...

We use disposable diapers when we go somewhere, but we did not even do that until we had about 5 I think. Been using cloth for 12 plus years now...lol. It is actually not all that hard when it really comes down to it. It is overblown, much like the ' all that work ' bit when it comes to having lots of children. Yeah, its work, but it is not like you are dropping over, especially with all of todays modern machines.
