Greetings to you all in Jesus' Name.

I received a phone call last night from Mama Hen's daughter and an email this morning.

Please keep her husband in your prayers! Their neighbors house caught fire. The dog ran back in and Mama Hen's hubby went in after the dog. He breathed in a lot of smoke and his throat was burned. He was taken to the ER via ambulance.

Mama Hen has a positive outlook that everything will be fine but will know more soon. She won't be around for a few days.

Please keep her, her husband, their children and their neighbors in your prayers, as their house was a total loss in the fire.

Thank you.

Wow...will do....and it was not even his dog. What a guy.

Maybe I am better off having never had a pet...I have no idea what it is like to be able to feel like I can run into a burning building to save one.

Hey all! I am here. Sort of. I am BEYOND tired and into that "Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" phase. It is 1:33, and I have been up since 6 am yesterday ...so my typing my not be too great.

In any case. We go to the hospital with the expectation of just pickig him up and taking him home. I got there and he was unconscious and intebated. It was quite a shock, and unfortunately our youngest was there to see it. Very scary. he was transported by a Critical Care Unit to and ICU burn unit 2 hours away. Within 90 minutes of getting there he was awake andthe tubes were out, and he was breathing fine. He was released from the hospital at 10 am. I have a house full of relatives who rallied to here :-)

But our friend's house is basically gutted. It was a kitchen fire. The smoke detectors never went off and the fire suppression system over the stove failed. Their landlord apparently is going to sue them for the last 2 months rent in their lease, and for all the damages....which is basically the whole house. I don't know how any of it can be salvaged. So please pray for them. The only things saved form their house was 2 photos, a rifle, and a jumpmaster knife. They are a young couple and this is devastating. They have a little girl that is about 1 1/2.

They had all gotten outside, and their kitten was still in the house. they opened the back door, calling the kitten, and when they did, their little dog ran back into the house. The lady started to run into the house after the dog, and Jeff threw her back out of the house and ran in himself. Came out and collapsed heaving on the lawn.

Okay, Ii am done typing. Thank you for the prayers. God answers them!

Thanks for the update... and so glad everyone is okay. Must be the soldier in him....tell him when the right time comes that a dog is not worth his life, and is not worth leaving his wife a widow and his children fatherless for.
