It looks like an earthquake hit east of LA today, measuring 5.4 on the richter scale. Old Preach and Buttermilk pie and their family live there so let's keep them in our prayers. According to the news reports there are no injuries or major damage. However, we are not sure how this has affected them. Article Hopefully we'll hear from them! :prayer: |

Hey there. Just wanted to thank everyone who was concerned about us, especially Sister Acts for starting a thread requesting prayer for us as brethren. We certainly felt it. We were parked in a Motel 6 parking lot loading our RV to leave California when it hit. Nothing like the Northridge earthquake of '94 though. Now THAT was a quake. Thankfully the big ones seem to only strike about once every 20 years. But again, your thoughts and prayers and especially being called by the endearing terms brother and sister were and are meaningful. Sincerely I pray, Lori Ann in "L.A."(Lower Alabama) where now we "only" have to be on the look-out for tornadoes... :hairraise: |

Our Enrichment day today was actually cut short because we found ourselves under a tornado warning. I still had to go to the store for my weekly milk-run, and OF COURSE when I was coming out of the store, the sky opened up. I actually had water spraying off of my face from my talking. I was that SOAKED! LOL |
