Prayer for our friends

I have an urgent prayer request for our friends The Jess Family.

Ernie and Mary, with their 7 children were excited when they felt to sell all they had and take their construction company to TX inorder to help and bless families in need of home repairs after Hurricane Ike devastated the Galveston area.

Everything was in place in TX for them but they have yet to make it there. It seems one thing after another is happening, delays and now today, an accident. They are currently in MO. visiting a few friends before their final journey. Ernie was given an opportunity to make some much-needed extra money so he took a short job driving some families up to WI for a wedding....groom and all. Mary and their children stayed in MO. with their friends. Ernie was due back in a few days.

Mary got word this afternoon that Ernie got on an overpass in their 15-passenger van this morning that was slick. The van rolled 3 times and is now totaled. It is their only vehicle to tow their camper and to get them to TX. Thankfully no one was seriously injured. A baby passenger did get a broken rib so please keep that family in prayer also.

They do not know where they are going or what is going to happen next. The family they are staying with is ready to get back to their own lives and they know they cannot stay there much longer.

Please join with me in prayer for the Lord's direction. He may not always give us the answer "why" but He is the "where", "when", "how" and "who"!

Thank you!

PRAISE REPORT!

I am happy to report the damages of this accident for only one reason: that is to tell of the miracles of Jesus!

The accident report verifies that the van rolled 4 times and landed upright. All the windows are completely shattered out. There were several children on board and 2 of them flew out of the van. The van landed on one of them and he only had a broken wrist (and not rib as previously thought)! None of the children were in car seats (as the Amish drive a horse and buggy and those are not required in them) but every passenger survived with very little damage. Ernie even recalls a brother and sister sitting beside one another and when the van became upright again, they were sitting in opposite seats of one another but still seated!

The Amish folks he drove definitely saw the miraculous hand of God in this and are very thankful. Please continue praying for these families. Even though Ernie is shook up, his perspective has been tweaked a bit (to say the least) and he is "loaded for bear" and really praying the passengers will receive the testimony of Jesus Christ and the Good News of the New Birth found throughout Acts.
