Praise the Lord, Everybody, I am asking that you all pray for my husband, Ken. He is deploying to Iraq again, for a year. He left for Oklahoma today (we live in NJ), and will go to Iraq from there near the middle of April. Please pray that he has a quiet place to pray. The Lord blessed him on his previous tour with a room that was a little distance away from his guys, and he was able to have good private time with the Lord. One soldier was baptized in Jesus Name. I am asking the Lord to provide people for him to fellowship with. I also ask that you pray for myself and my daughter, that the Lord would shorten the days for our sakes, that He would give me strength and wisdom, but mostly that His will for us be done, in Jesus Name! Thank you all. Stefanie |

Im going to print your request out and put it on the fridge. Many are not in-tune with the sacrifices and needs of miltary people and their families. My children and visitors (non-apostolic) hopefully will read your request and act upon it, and curiosity aroused over the baptism in Jesus name. |

Thanks, Rudy. We are grateful. I tried to respond to you yesterday, but for some reason it didn't post. I think you are right that many don't understand the impact that these separations have on military families. A year to 18 months (sometimes more) is a long time. I thank the Lord for giving us the ability to endure. He has proven himself to be faithful to my husband and myself during these times. Fortunately, we've been able to draw even closer to Him, as well as one another. |

Sister, Just wanted you to know that we have been praying for you and your family. I am sure it's going to be a long year, but we are praying that the Lord will help you to get through this and bring Ken home safely. How are you doing? |

The prayers are definitely helping. It's very difficult, especially in the beginning. We are a close family. There are just the three of us at home, so it's rough, especially for my 16-year-old daughter. She's definitely a Daddy's girl. However, I know that whatever the situation, it is working for our good. The ability to rest in Jesus and walk in child-like faith is priceless. The fiery situations surely help us to come forth as pure gold. I joyfully anticipate how the Lord will work with us through this time. I know that, in end, it will make me more like Him. When it is rough, it is comforting to know that people are praying for us. Thank you for your prayers and your concern. It means more than words can express. Stefanie |

Stefanie, I will most certainly keep him in my prayers. We just found out that my husband is leaving sooner than expected as well. He is heading to the other sandbox this time though. We'll get through it :-) |

Conni, I have been praying for your family daily and will continue to pray. I didn't know your husband had to go so soon. My husband is coming home to New Jersey from Oklahoma (where he's been since February) on April 12 for three days. He leaves for Iraq a few days after he returns to OK. Stefanie |

Praise the Lord! Thanks to everyone who prayed for my family. My husband returned home from Iraq this morning. We are thankful to the Lord, yet again, for helping us through a deployment. He taught group Bible studies, sometimes twice a week, while he was in Iraq. (I am amazed that he was able to have the time to do it.) The Lord used him to be a source of encouragement to the soldiers that he was with. The Lord provided fellowship for him during the whole time. I met some of the soldiers when he returned this morning and they commented on him being a Godly man. I am very proud of my husband and thankful to the Lord for giving him to me. I am appreciative of the prayers that have enabled us to be who we are in the Lord! (I have also recovered very well from surgery.) Thanks again. Stefanie |
