Tournament idea: The secret war.

All characters are considered to have all team affiliations.

That's it.

Reply here for if you want to throw spaghetti at the wall for other tournament ideas.

Tournament Idea: Rich Man / Poor Man

All cards in the deck must be rares, or must not be rares.

Prince and the Pauper Variation: Whoever has an all rare deck switches with a person who has a non-rare deck.

You spelled spaghetti wrong.

Tournament Idea: Conquest of the galaxy. Marvel VS DC.

Everyone Chooses a side. All cards in your deck must be from the appropriate side.
No team may be played by more than 1 person so you will have to get with your team captains to assighn teams.

Set up the tables with planets. The planet cards are similar to galactus planets except the cards will reflect marvel and DC instead of Galactus and alliance. The initiative will be spelled out and the planet condition will also be there. The planet conditions must be general enough so that most deck types have a chance to win , even though it may be easier for certain deck types.

Thier must be a captain for each side.at the beginning of the first round the captains will flip sterlings two face coin to decide who will go first , then one at a time the captain will assighn a teamate to fight at one of the planets, therby setting the pairings. After pairings are set the planet cards will be reaveled and the fighting begins. After each round the combatants are assighned to a new planet by the team captains with the only condition that you may not fight at the same planet twice. So choose carefully.Matchups and planet abilities are crucial to winning.

At the end of 5 rounds the team with the most conquest points( wins) will be declared the winner and that team will earn the first place prize, the losing team will earn the second place ( participation prize). If there is enough interest in this tournament I will get to work on the planet cards and will gladly look at other peoples suggestions for planet cards.Just email me or pm me the card to approve.

Well there you have it.If we get enough interest I will post a poll asking you all to decide your faction and unless they are way lopsided ( yes I mean you all dc freaks) we will ask for deserters to switch sides or do it randomly.Once sides are determined we will then do a poll to nominate team captains.
Your going to need a bigger boat!!!!!

You just gave me an erection.

I will do what it takes, as Superman, to protect all, but if you would bring harm to any world, I will stand against anyone to stop you.

Emerald City Entertainment

In Association with Wayne Enterprises Presents:

Challenge of the Super-Friends!

Challenge is an 8-Week "season" tournament. How it works is that each participating player will be allowed two decks. Each week that player will play one game based on his scheduled opponent (schedules made in advance) with week 4 being some sort of...

MEGA-THURSDAY!

...where each game that night is devoted to the schedule.

Then, when the weeks are over, we have a bracketed tournament to determine the Grand Mega-Champion of the Emerald City Hobby League, and award him the Lucius Fox Championship Trophy.

The one game per week is so not to interfere with any other events we choose to run within those 8 weeks.

I pulled this piece of an article off of VSSystem.com.

Quote:

Mega Weekend Chicago will be the first time that I get to meet my good online pal, Squire “HomerJ” Kershner. Back when I was still actively writing full articles, Squire was a tremendous supporter and contributor, providing me with various deck and combo ideas for my unconventional builds. Nowadays, Squire has pretty much become a “Master of Jank” in his own right; delighting the Vs. System community with some innovative and ingenious deck ideas that are usually competitive, and always fun to play.

The question now is how good at jank deckbuilding has Mr. Kershner become? Has the student well and truly surpassed the master? Well, I intend to find out. I hereby challenge Squire to the inaugural Janktastic Showdown!

Here are the rules of the challenge:

1. Format: Golden Age—one game with no time limit.

2. Both decks must contain a minimum of three different teams, and Enemy of my Enemy is banned in this format.

3. Three focus cards are required. Just as my articles used to feature individual cards, so will each deck. There will be three different cards that both decks must contain at least one copy of. Moreover, a player cannot win the game until he has successfully managed to play each of these cards at some point in the game! For example, if one of the “focus cards” is Silver Surfer, Herald, a player can’t win the game until he’s managed to get the 11-drop in play.

Note: As part of this rule, there is something called the “Sabotage Addendum.” If one player takes an action that prohibits the other player from being able to effectively play a focus card (for example, a player plays Time Thief and removes the other player’s only copy of a focus card), then the sabotaged player is considered to have already played that card. Just remember: Sabotage is bad!

4. What are these “focus cards”? For that, I leave the decision up to three well-respected members of our Vs. System community: Clifford “Captain Comet” Parmeter, Steve “Kamiza” Garrett, and Rian “stubarnes” Fike. Each of them will provide a single focus card, and it will be up to us to build our decks around the three choices of these three Vs. System stalwarts.

In the original "Janktastic Showdown, stubarnes chose Master Mold, Kamiza chose The Joker, Emperor Joker, and Squire chose The Infinity Gauntlet.

So what do y'all think? We could come up with our own Jank Cards and set up some sort of tournament.

well lets see, how about we do a insanity tournament with your jank rules.we all choose one card that must be in everyones deck, the rest of the deck can have no more than 1 copy of any card and thats it.60 different cards with the aforementioned cards of jank.the winner must have played all of the jank cards before he can win and if you sabotage the card then it is still counted as playing it.Its jank, arkham style.
Your going to need a bigger boat!!!!!
