The Ministries Act
An Act to Establish Ministries, their Roles, and Restrictions
In accordance with the Constitution that

Sec. III(2) The Premier has the right to:
f. Appoint ministers to assist them.
Section I: Establishment
1.This Act will establish the following governmental entities:
a.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
b.The Ministry of the Interior
c.The Ministry of Citizenship
d.The Ministry of Elections
e.The Ministry of Justice
2.Each Ministry shall be headed by a Minister, who shall be responsible for the duties and actions of the Ministry they lead.
Section II: Minsters
1.Minsters shall serve at the pleasure of the Premier.
a.The Premier must notify the Senate upon appointment of a Minster.
b.The Premier must notify his Minister 24 hours in advance of the Minster’s relief from duty.
2.Ministers must be Citizens of Ascotera.
3.Ministries need not have a Minister, though the Premier shall be recognized as Minister should one not be appointed.
4.Ministers need not be independent of other positions, be they officials or other government positions, except when otherwise noted.
Section III: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
1.The Ministry is charged with handling embassy requests and the construction and ratification of treaties.
2.The Ministry may communicate officially with foreign regions on behalf of the Premier.
3.The Ministry may delegate all responsibilities concerning a foreign region to an appointed Ambassador.
a.Ambassadors shall serve at the pleasure of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
i.Nomination of position by the Minister of Foreign Affairs must be approved by the Premier.
ii.The Minister of Foreign Affairs must notify his Ambassador 24 hours in advance of the Ambassador’s relief from duty.
b.Ambassadors must be Citizens of Ascotera.
c.Ambassadors need not be independent of other positions, be they officials or other government positions.
d.A list of all serving Ambassadors and the regions they serve must be pinned to the top of the Ministry Forum, with information no older than 24 hours.
4.The Ministry may advise the Premier on all foreign matters.
Section IV: Ministry of the Interior
1.The Ministry is charged with forum moderation, as well as all public parts of the forum whose responsibility is not otherwise stipulated, including, but not limited to, polls and role-plays.
2.The Ministry handles all complaints concerning the forum that are not considered illegal.
3.All moderation is left to the discretion of the Minister of the Interior.
4.The Ministry has the right to temporarily ban any nation from the forums.
a.The banned nation must be notified of such by telegram by the Minster of the Interior, with the time period.
b.The time of the ban begins upon the delivery of said telegram.
5.The above also applies to communication on the official Region page.
6.The Ministry is additionally charged with maintaining the dispatch “Ascotera's Regional Laws”, organized by (Senatorial) Session, with information no older than 24 hours.
7.The Ministry may advise the Premier on all internal matters.
Section V: Ministry of Citizenship
1.The Ministry is charged with maintain and regulating applications for citizenship to Ascotera, communicating with Citizens on behalf of the Premier and the Regional Government, and maintaining the dispatch “Ascotera’s Citizenship Roster” ”, with information no older than 24 hours.
2.The Ministry may deny or approve of any application.
3.The Ministry may ban nations considered an immediate security threat, at their discretion.
4.The Ministry may advise the Premier on all citizenship matters.
Section VI: Ministry of Elections
1.The Ministry is charged with maintaining the compliance of the Elections forum, as prescribed by law, including, but not limited to, opening topics for each election, maintaining lists of nominees, and keeping all elections on schedule.
2.The Ministry is also charged with creating and maintaining a document, accessible to the public, listing the following:
a.All Citizens elected Premier
b.All Citizens elected to the Senate
c.All Citizens appointed Head of Justice
d.All Administrations
e.All Premierships
f.All (Senatorial) Sessions
g.All dates of Citizens’ time in each office, and the beginning and end of all Administrations, Premierships and (Senatorial) Sessions
3.The Ministry may advise the Premier on all electoral matters.
Section VII: Ministry of Justice
1.Charged with bringing Criminal Complaints against nations on behalf of the Premier and Regional Government.
2.In Criminal Complaints, the Minister of Justice shall act in accordance with the laws of and as the Plaintiff.
3.The Ministry may advise the Premier on all judicial matters.
