Kurultai, The Forbidden City Guyuk Khan stood in his splendor at the airport runway just overlooking the recently arrived Gondor ambassador. The recent events surrounding the Biscalis region and the tiny kingdom of Japao had erupted a flare of aggressive military movements against the Divine Khanate, most of which hailed from lands far to the west. He had to admit, Japao and Ignatz had done a very good job in painting his nation in a negative light, drumming up support from a number of third parties ignorant to the true nature of the tragic event which had cost no less than four Khanate servicemen their lives. Now, it looked as if the entire west was moving eastward in a repeat of years of colonial aggression, using the excuse of Japao self-sovereignty to push their own imperialistic agendas towards a new horizon. Thus, it was a major imperative to seek an ally where an ally could be found. In the case of Gondor, a large nation which had traditionally had relatively cordial relations with the Khanate, the Khan was more than eager to invite the Gondor Heads of State to talk politics, tighter friendship and a mutual defensive military alliance to ensure that Eastern Sovereignty remained in Eastern hands. The Gondorian aircraft came to a stop and a staircase lowered to permit its VIP access to Khanate soil. Motioning for the two-hundred strong welcoming band to play the Gondor National Anthem, the Khan moved forward to greet his guest. "Hail Gondor! I welcome you to Kurultai, the Forbidden City - Capital of my Homeland and a proud recipient of your consideration." "I trust the flight went well, my friend? There is much to discuss about a friendship and alliance between our two Eastern Powers." |

"Done, my friend. The process of constructing the J-31 Kestrel is a complicated affair, but we will be more than happy to sell your the J-31 in any quantity. We would also be more than willing to divert seven of our dedicated nuclear deterrent vessels to your waters, provided accommodations can be made for their crews to stay on Gondorian soil during leave." |

"Of course, of course! They can stay on Gondorian soil during their leave. They will have the choice of choosing to stay wherever they wish. We would like to order, say 75 Kestrel fighters? We wouldn't expect them at at once, of course, and are happy to pay the price set by the Khanate." |

"The Kestrals themselves are new production, utilizing the most cutting edge electronics, materials and processing systems. They have never been offered for export, but we will accede to the sale of the Kestral with their maintenance teams for 95 million Grognok per unit price. We will ensure maintenance and repair standards for a period of four years - Khanate aerospace technicians would be more than happy to ensure your purchases longevity for the initial five years of their service life." |

"That would amount to 7.125 billion Grognoks total. This is agreeable, as we have allocated sufficient funds for such a large order. The 75 jets will be well appreciated, trust us. The technicians are also a great asset for us to have as we have little experience on how aircraft such as these work. Thank you, friend. Is there anything Gondor can do or provide to the Khanate in return for its generosity?" |

"Nothing needs to be reciprocated, my friend, save the mutual love and respect our two peoples' hold for each other. I am pleased to have been of service of our long-standing friends and ecstatic to have the Lady Jane as my wife and empress. With our alliance and our marriage, the world will finally see the realization of a true embodiment of eastern traditions, ideals and sentiment; a counter-balance to the decadence, corruption and hypocrisy of the West." "Order and prosperity for our nations' peoples will be upheld, my Lord and Lady, by the strength and vitality of Gondor and Khanate wills. Peace will be upheld and our children's children will inherit a better world than we ourselves know today." |

Eldarion smiled and had a gleeful look upon his face. He had just secured a great security for his country in this alliance. He looked to his sister Jane and spoke. "Jane, I must go back home now. Gondor needs me in these troubled times. You will be safe here in the Forbidden City with your soon-to-be husband. I wish you a happy life and that your children will help guide this world in a more amicable direction. I love you, sister. May you be at peace with all of this." Jane said little, but smiled and chuckled in return as she kissed her brother's head. "I am not just at peace, but I am happy with my new life. Farewell, brother. Godspeed to you." She then turned her gaze to the Khan, and spoke to him. "I am ready to see what this land has to offer. I am ready to become Empress at your bidding. Our alliance is complete." Eldarion and the Steward stood and said their farewells. "Guyuk, Lord of the East, it has been a pleasure meeting with you and making this alliance possible. We must now return to Gondor, at the coming of the darks days which follow hence. Peace be with you, and farewell." And with that, the King and the Steward left, returning home. |
