Posts: 61 Group: Citizens Member #30 Joined: Feb 6, 2016 Nation: Toshikawa	Government The Government of Valkyria, commonly referred to as the Imperium, is the central power over the entire nation divided into two primary functions: the Vox Populi Republican Assembly, commonly abbreviated VPSA when referring to it; then the Imperium of Valkyria. Both work cohesively but use different functions when governing the country, with the VPSA taking on all legislative responsibility and the Imperium acting on executive authority with the Grand Imperator leading the Imperium. The Imperium Led by the monarch, the Grand Imperator(male) or Grand Imperatrix(female), the Imperium holds executive authority over the country as the Government of Valkyria. By constitutional powers, the Imperium is naturally limited in it's power, therefore the Monarch is also limited and bounded in power to the Imperium only, serving and working with the legislation established by the VPSA. However, this does not mean the VPSA holds more power over the Imperium, the Imperium may act in executive authority as it sees fit, however if deemed against the People's interest or seen in disapproval, VPSA has the authority to oppose by majority and halt the contributing assets of the Imperium. The Grand Imperator is a hereditary position, though in a state of succession crisis or the resigning of a Grand Imperator with no viable heir or named successor over 30, a new Grand Imperator is elected by the VPSA. The Grand Imperator's or Imperatrix's spouse, holds secondary Imperium power. The Grand Imperator and the entire Imperium must also have Holy Order bestowed on them by the Valkyrian Lutheran Church, who in the end determines the check and balances of the Imperium, though does not hold any official authority granted by the Constitution. The Church is lead historically by the Grand Imperator, though recent efforts to separate church and state in Valkyria have led to the creation of the Minister of the Lutheran Valkyria, the new born Minister position still holds power within the government and nation and he acts as a leader and representative alongside the Grand Imperator. Grand Imperator: Philip Augustus Grand Imperatrix: (none) Chancellor: John Eris The Chancellor is head of Foreign Affairs and acts as an advisor to the Grand Imperator in these matters. This is opposed to perhaps other nations, where a Chancellor leads the government. In Valkyria, a Chancellor is simply explained above and a part of the Grand Imperator's court. However the Chancellor also encompasses various internal sub-Chancelleries that run the country internally which is dictated mostly by the Vice Chancellor. These sub-Chancelleries include: - Ministry of Economy - Ministry of Infrastructure - Ministry of the Environment - Ministry of Finance Marshal: Jaci Royle Head of everything military accombied by a the Imperial Armed Forces Board, which is made up of Generals, Admirals and Colonels. The Marshal reports directly to the Grand Imperator and his council. Valkyrian Lutheran Church Minister: Gerald Hessel Leader of the Valkyrian Lutheran Church, the Minister, referred to as the Grand Minister(often confused of leading the Chancellory Cabinet), has substantial influence within the government, leading the National Socialist Party named Populo Nationalist(see political idealogies section) Edited by Gadshack, Mar 20 2016, 08:15 PM.
