  "ADOLFO OBERTO" ARRESTED Former Iresnian Minister of the Police Adolfo Oberto is thought to have been arrested yesterday. The man responsible for an estimated 280 illegal executions as well as torturing hundreds of children was found in the small farming community of Henburg. The man was arrested under the name of Jonathon Radu, however the resemblance to the former Minister is uncanny. The police followed leads of several investigators who have began large global operations to find the various Iresnian's who carried out crimes against humanity while they occupied the island. Oberto is the first of the main ten to be arrested, however lawyers for Radu claim that this is nothing more than a case of mistaken identity. Speaking from outside Hunters Bay police station where Radu was taken the lawyer said, "Jonathon Radu has committed no crime other than having the misfortune to look like Oberto. It is now important that police realise their mistake and release him with a full apology." It was announced that Police have requested a warrant to take DNA for comparison with Henri Oberto, the Minister's brother who was killed during the War of Independence and is buried in Waitaker. A database of Iresnian DNA was established to allow for cases such as these to be dealt with. It is however likely that the majority of the high profile criminals will have escaped which caused the government to issue warrants for the arrests of the Ten Leading Criminals. |
