Nyguno Hong, Gondor's Lord Helm Guardian, was being sent to the United Socialist States of Die Erworbenen Namen. King Eldarion had felt that the soured relations of old between Gondor and DEN had passed, as the reasons for the sour relations had passed as well. Eldarion felt that Gondor needed more allies than just Ascarenor in order to be truly felt as a power within Audaxia. While Gondor and DEN had their differences of opinion, they were far more alike than they cared to admit. They both had monarchs, had a cabinet to advise those monarchs, valued strong national defense, and were fiercely patriotic. Nyguno looked out his plane window at the sight of Hochburg off in the distance. The sprawling mass of a city was magnificent from a bird's eye view, with the tops of skyscrapers glinting sunlight off into the distance. But it was his landing place that gathered more of his attention. He was landing at some sort of airfield, and he could see military personnel everywhere bustling about on their daily patrols and various assignments. The red and gold banner of the Namenian flag waved in the frosty wind and was a testament to their pride in their country, which made Nyguno smile. The hammer and sickle reminded him that he was coming to a socialist nation, and one that was an economic machine. Gondor wasn't socialist, but didn't mind socialism and even light forms of communism, though authoritarian communism, or fascism for that matter, was something that the King abhorred with a burning passion. The Lord Helm Guardian was interested to see just how socialist they were, and if they would be open to an alliance with a more laissez-faire style nation such as Gondor. He was informed by one of his entourage that his flight was landing, and that the Namenians were expecting him. His entourage consisted of several aides and Royal Guardsmen who boldly brandished their M4 carbines in their arms, there being 10 of them to protect him. One would notice their bright red uniforms, with white caps and the White Tree upon their chests. Their uniforms radiated a semblance of pride and fervor for Gondor that all the Guardsmen had--they were Gondor's best and brightest. As the plane soon came to a landing, the door was opened and the stairway slid down from the plane door, with the Royal Guardsmen splitting up into two groups of five on each side of the stairs and giving the Lord Helm Guardian a full salute, to which he gave a wave and a nod. His entourage piled off the plane after him, carrying briefcases containing important documents and other odds and ends for Nyguno's visit should he need them. Nyguno looked out for the Namenian representative who he was to meet, a smirk slowly crossing his face. Edited by Gondor, Jun 29 2016, 03:08 AM.

"We would send troops to help defend the United Socialist States if there were an invasion or attack on Namenian soil. When it comes to Unirel, we are on neither the Communist nor the Republic side. We wish for no part in that war. That isn't all though. We are about to have an alliance with Ascarenor, one that is of great importance to the King. As long as you and them get along, everything is fine." |

"Very well. Now, as for your request..." Vladimir took out a large file and handed it to the minister. "Here's the information you should require. Everything on there will tell you everything you need to know. Is this good?" |

Nyguno looked over the file, reading its contents. He was thoroughly impressed by the simple yet robust design of Namenian vehicles and equipment. They didn't look overtly nice or pretty, but war was ugly, and these would get the job done handsomely. He turned to Vladimir and gave him an approving look. "Your vehicles and aircraft are top of the line. So much so that perhaps I could convince my King to give DEN more support in the war that is to come. I have some influence over the King. Besides the Steward himself, I may be the King's most trusted advisor. At least on military matters, that is. Gondor isn't militaristic in nature like DEN is, but we are willing to pay whatever price to defend our sovereignty. The King may need to swallow his pride and support the Communists in Unirel in order to keep the Maddoman Empire and the west from encroaching any further on our lands and people. What is the Namenian plan of action, may I ask?" |

"I want to keep our involvement as covert as possible on the ground. I want to look like we are defending only for now, and scout out the enemy. If we are exposed before then, we will strike hard and unexpectedly if possible. But for now, we want to keep it low. That is our plan." |

"Unirel has thick jungles and terrain that your troops up here in the cold won't be used to. From what little I know about Namenian history from the War of Wolves as we Gondorians call it, your style of warfare is very open and urban. Warfare in Unirel will be quite difficult for your troops if they don't understand the correct way to fight in the jungle. The way to do it is guerilla warfare, and to attack quickly and disappear before your enemy knows what hit them. Search and destroy is also an excellent tactic to use with things like armored convoys and large amounts of ground troops. Gondorians understand this type of warfare, as part of our nation is covered in dense forests and jungles. Even though we have been a nation for millennia, the Gondorian tribesman and the Númenóreans didn't always get along so well as they do now. Since we understand the ways of guerilla warfare, we could possibly advise you in your defensive tactics and even train troops in our ways." |

"I would like that very much. Especially for my special forces. You see, we have trained in such ways before, but as you said, never to that extent. Adding that kind of training would benefit us in so many ways, and could very possibly win us the war." |

"This proposal would have to be reviewed by King Eldarion of course, but I have confidence that he will give it his stamp of approval. The only thing that I would caution you towards would be to try to persuade the King to throw troops into Unirel in force and backing the Communists in that way. Eldarion doesn't have any love for communism, and neither did his father. The only reason that he would be willing to go as far as I have stated is to protect Gondor and her allies, yourselves included, from western imperialism." "Now, as to your aircraft, I do believe that Gondor would be interested in purchasing a good amount of fighters from the A-16, F-9, and F-15 family. These fighters are just what we have been looking for. How would you like to price them?" |

"Well, the prices will be most likely above 110 million, but the prices are very negotiable. As you can see, they are all stealth aircraft, or with as much stealth as absolutely possible, so the price will definitely be higher than the normal aircraft. How many would you be looking to recieve, and how would you use them?" |

"Is that price with the allied discount, or not?" Nyguno joked. He gave the file another once over before beginning price negotiations. "Well, I should think that we would like to order a small number of each fighter jet to test out its possible usage for our forces to ensure our military's happiness and compatability with the aircraft. We would use all the fighters for defense first and foremost, as Gondor is not an aggressive nation by nature. But when and where offensive tactics are needed, these aircradt would be an invaluable resource for weakening enemy defenses and ensuring our air superiority. To deal with exact numbers that we wish to receive, let's start with 10 each, I'd say." |

"Definitely. Well, the price after all is said and done would be around 120 million a piece. what does that sound like to you? Good enough?" Vladimir asked, putting the folder down. |
