The Bonds of Blood
The Blood Bond (Or Blood Oath) is one of the most potent means of control that characters have to their disposal. The bonds are between Vampires, and only between Vampires.
Regnant: Kindred that has a Thrall bound to them. Thrall: Kindred that is bound to the Regnant.
There are 3 steps divided by separate nights to create a Blood Bond. These are:
1) First Drink:
The Thrall may have flashes of emotion regarding the Regnant. You may place yourself in a position to be useful to them; and try to be around them as much as possible.
2) Second Drink:
The Regnant becomes the central figure of your life. While the Thrall is not completely bound to the Regnant, they will consider the wishes of the Regnant in deciding your actions and routine.
3) Third Drink:
The Regnant becomes the most important thing in your life -- Nothing is more important than making your Regnant happy and you will do as they say. This does not require eye contact to dominate their Thrall.

1. So I can safely drink from a Vampire twice?
There is always the danger of drinking the blood of a Vampire who has stronger blood than you. (Lower Generation). You may become fully bound by only two drinks if you haven't got a strong will power.
2. How long do blood bonds last?
Blood Bonds, even partial ones (The first 1-2 steps) do not fade. They must be deliberately broken. Even a partial bond can last for centuries, so any Blood bond is dangerous.
3. Separate Nights? Three Nights Rule?
The Rule is three drinks -- All three drinks must take place on separate nights, within a lunar month. Irrelevant of how much blood you drunk one night from the Regnant, you've only completed phase 1.
4. I am bonded, but can I return the favour?
Yes. Being bound does not remove your ability to bind someone else. As long as your Regnant is not already bound to someone else, you can bind them.
5. Can I be a Thrall to multiple Vampires?
You can only be fully blood bounded to one Vampire, but until you're fully enthralled -- You can enjoy multitude of first and second phrase blood bonds, until you take the third drink.
A full blood bond also shatters al lesser bonds and prevents new ones from forming.
6. As a Full Blooded Thrall, Am I safe from other bonds?
Yes. Being full blooded means you're safe to drink from any Vampire without the effects of a bind.
7. How to shatter the bonds of blood?
The death of the Regent will shatter the bond. However, the Thrall may suffer deeply. Some may become deranged, the urge to commit suicide whilst others may express relief and freedom. The removal of the Bond is complicated and messy. Avoiding all forms of your Regnant is going to be difficult because you may feel compelled to their side - And given the very nature of a Blood Bond, it's hard to use your will power.
8. Can a vampire be blood bonded against their knowledge or against their will?
Yes. In fact, being forcibly blood bound to the Prince or a member of Court is a common punishment for infractions of law. It does not take more than a drop of blood to constitute one step of the blood-binding process.
