Clan Ventrue has long been one of the proudest lines of vampires. Its members work hard to maintain a reputation for honor, genteel behavior, and leadership. A sense of noblesse oblige has long pervaded the clan, accompanied by the genuine belief that the Ventrue know what's best for everyone. They not only consider themselves the oldest clan, but see themselves as the enforcers of tradition and the rightful leaders of vampire society. Unsurprisingly, they have long been chosen from the ranks of nobility and privilege, whether kings or merchant princes, but they have also been known as knights and warlords who sought to live by the laws of chivalry and duty. If anything, the Ventrue have adopted to fill the roles of leadership over the ages, and in the modern nights are more politician than noble warrior, more CEO than baron lord. They remain the largest supporters of the Camarilla and the Masquerade, believing both institutions to be the surest means of protecting vampires from the growing mortals masses, and of guarding their own power.
Due to their inherent clan weakness, Ventrue have exacting and rarefied tastes, even when it comes to blood. The player must pick a restriction on the type of blood their character can feed upon, e.g. only young men, no animals, only virgins, etc. A Ventrue will feed on no other type of blood, not even if she is starving or under duress.
Ventrue Antitribu The Ventrue antitribu are the knights and paladins of the Sabbat, sworn to combat the Antediluvians and bring down the degenerate Camarilla. They see their Camarilla counterparts as failures, and have assumed the roles of the race of Cainites' saviors to atone for this. They believe mortals to be ignorant cattle, sufficient only for food and service to their terrible vampire lords. To accept anything less is to take the path of the disgraced Ventrue of the Camarilla, and the Sabbat Ventrue are not willing to accept that failure. |

Dominate
Dominate is a Discipline that overwhelms another person's mind with the vampire's will, forcing victims to think or act according to the vampire's decree. While undeniably powerful, its use almost always adheres to two important restrictions: the user must meet the eyes of the target and must speak in language that is clearly heard and understood by the target. Furthermore, this Discipline cannot be used upon Cainites of lower generation and cannot force someone to be self-destructive or defy their Nature. Using Dominate is often considered very heavy-handed, hardly appropriate within what passes for polite vampiric society, but it is also favored by those of age and status as a efficient means of asserting their authority.
Official Abilities
Standard Abilities
- Level One - Command: Give a simple one-word order that a target must obey
- Level Two - Mesmerize: By holding a target with your gaze you can implant false thoughts or hypnotic suggestions in a target's mind
- Level Three - The Forgetful Mind: Rewrite the memories of a target
- Level Four - Conditioning: Over time make a target a slave to your will alone
- Level Five - Possession: Transfer your mind into a mortal body and control their actions

Fortitude
Fortitude is a Discipline that grants Kindred incredible resilience and the ability to resist fire and sunlight, the natural banes of the undead. Normally Fortitude does not need to be activated, and each dot is added to all soak rolls.
The following clans and bloodlines possess Fortitude as an in-clan Discipline: Akunanse, Blood Brothers, Daughters of Cacophony, Gangrel, Gargoyle, Harbingers of Skulls, Ishtarri, Kinyonyi, Lamia, Mla Watu, Nkulu Zao, Ravnos, Salubri, Samedi and Ventrue. Risen wraiths may also acquire this Discipline with the right training.

Also bladed/edged weapons do not pierce the vampire's body as much they should, as if somewhat blunted. For example, being battered over the head by a crowbar or being shot at.
- Level Three - The vampire takes reduced damage from fire, however still enters Rotschreck upon facing such situation.
- Level Four - The vampire soaks up a quarter of the physical damage dealt to them in combat.
- Level Five - The vampire soaks up half of the physical damage dealt to them in combat.

Presence
Presence is a Discipline of supernatural allure and emotional manipulation. It is a fairly common among vampires, especially within the Camarilla, both because of its versatility and because of its subtlety. Many Presence powers can be used upon large groups of people at once and transcend virtually all boundaries of gender, race, religion, class, and supernatural status. Though Presence can be resisted through force of will and by ignoring the user, most do not realize when it is being used upon them.
