WEB PRELIMS

Light Heavyweight

Lucas Holden (6-1-0) vs Robert "Robbie" Roberts (5-3-0)

Round 1 Recap:
The fight starts with a blitzing flurry by Roberts that Holden avoids, and doesn't see much action after that. There's a lot of circlling, and tentative single strikes thrown with Roberts having the more effective ones, causing the crowd to grow restless. Finally, Roberts presses the action again, moving forward. Holden manages to turn him against the fence, grabbing overhooks to control him. He leans his body weight on him, causing the ref to tell him to work. On cue, he starts delivering a few foot stomps, and a knee to the inner thigh. After a while, his rate of strikes thrown is slow enough that they're forced to break. Following some more uneventful action, Holden moves forward looking for the clinch, and eats a hard punch, the best strike of the round so far. That seems to hurt him, and he leans forward, tieing up to rest and recover. He is able to do that for some time, an occasional foot stomp mixed in, before they're forced to break again. Nothing else of note happens in the round.

Katrina Lazar's Unofficial Scorecard: 10-10 Even

Round 2 Recap:
Following his corner's instructions to cut angles, and not leave his chin out, Holden manages to get the clinch successfully. He knees the body before bulling him against the fence. After some knees to the thigh, and foot stomps accompanied by a little better workrate, he goes for a foot trip takedown. Roberts defends well, but he's able to muscle him down. He holds him there, riding top position, before he's able to walk back up. Holden lands a couple of short uppercuts as he does, then moves to a bodylock. Following a bodylock trip takedown into side control, he rides out the position using knees to the side for the rest of the round.

Katrina Lazar's Unofficial Scorecard: 10-9 Holden = 20-19

Round 3 Recap:
Roberts comes out aggressively, knowing he likely is down on the cards. This momentarily seems effective, but lets Holden send him down with a high judo toss. After some methodical, but effective striking from half-guard, Robbie Roberts explodes to get up and Lucas takes his back. He's a bit high as he initially tries for the RNC, but is powerful enough he manages to avoid getting shrugged off, and drags Roberts down to the ground with him. He works for the RNC with the body triangle in, but it's defended well. As he keeps working for it, Roberts manages to spin, and end up in top in guard. After a few short elbows, he postures up, and lands a big bomb. Holden covers up, and defends the follow up shots well enough that Robbie backs up and lets him to his feet. He connects with a solid 1-2 combination on Holden, and shaken up Lucas immediately shoots for the takedown. Roberts sprawls, lands a couple of short punches on the ground, and Holden rolls to his back. He dives in with a big elbow smash, missing it, and allowing Holden to reverse position so he can end up on top in half guard. After moving to side control, he lands a several short punches and elbows before Roberts scrambles back to his feet. He catches Holden with a short uppercut, but the horn sounds to end the fight.

Katrina Lazar's Unofficial Scorecard: 10-9 Holden (close) = 30-28 Holden

Judges Cards:
30-27 Holden
29-28 Roberts
29-28 Holden

OFFICIAL DECISION: Lucas Holden (7-1 :1-0) def Robbie Roberts (5-4 : 0-1) via Split Decision

Alternate Fight
BDF Middleweight Championship Tournament

Randy Silva (11-10-3) vs Frankie Rivera (4-2-0)

Round 1 Recap:
After only a few seconds of feeling out, there's a brief clinch, exchanging short punches. They both disengage, and Silva comes forward winging wild haymakers. He connect with a few glancing shots, but eats a big uppercut coming in. Randy keeps plowing forward, and gets hit with another uppercut. That one seems to stun him, and this time it's Rivery coming forward with a flurry. He backs Randy up against the cage, and starts swinging from the hips with big punches. Silva manages a tie up, but there's no rest there, as both men exchange frenetic short punches in the clinch. Eventually Randy gets control of Rivera's head, and starts unleashing quick uppercuts which drop him. He pounces, looking to finish with ground and pound, and gets caught in a leglock. He fortunately is able to pull out, aided by a fence grab ( along with warning) which lets him posture up, and land a punch to the body before backing off. Once he's back up, the two fighters pace themselves slightly more, working medium paced kickboxing bout. Silva's shots seem to be the more effective when they do land, and Rivera throws a kick that Randy catches, throwing him to the ground. He dives in to follow with ground and pound again, and ends up in a scramble. Rivera ends up on top in half guard, easily moving to side control, then mount. Silva tries to turn out, and gives up his back. Rivera has a tight rear naked choke locked in as the bell sounds to signify the round has expired.

Katrina Lazar's Unofficial Card: 10-9 Rivera (close)

Round 2 Recap
The pace is a bit more reasonable to start the round, as both competitors expended a lot of energy in that crazy round of action. Rivera seems to be landing more easily, and looks to get the fight back to the ground, after seeing what an edge he had there. Silva blocks his single leg attempt, but has his fingers in the cage, which gets another warning. Rivera gets him partially down, and Randy's back up, again grabbing at the fence as he tries to turn out. This draws a stoppage, with Randy getting docked a point. They're restarted in the same position, which Randy manages to spin out of legally this time. Rivera makes a move forward, and Randy shoots for a big power double leg takedown, ending up in half guard. He eventually move to closed guard, posturing up, landing punches. As his corner screams to keep his head down, he obliges, and keeps it pressed against RIvera's chest, only infrequently posturing up for short elbows until the reound ends.

Katrina Lazar's Unofficial Card: 10-9 Silva minus one point = (9-9) 19-18 Rivera

Round 3 Recap:
It stays a standup fight early on, and again Rivera's punches seem to be crisper in these latter stages of the fight. After a bullrush of punches, he level changes, eating a big knee coming in. That knocks him down, and he wobbles back up now owning a big cut underneath is right eye. Silva wings sloppy punches as he goes for the kill, most of them missing, but one that connects, hurting Frankie further. He dumps him down with a huge slam against the fence, and is dropping big punches as Rivera covers up. The referee tells him to defend himself, and apparently he does that just enough, as the fight keeps going. Randy ends up in his half guard, laying their exhausted. He gets told to work, and fires back up, dropping huge punches and elbows. Again, Rivera turns to his back to turtle up, and this time he's saved for the bell as an exhausted Silva keeps punching away.

Katrina Lazar's Unofficial Card: 10-8 Silva = 28-27 Silva

Judges Cards:
28-27 Silva
28- 28 Even
28-27 Silva

OFFICIAL DECISION: Randy Silva (12-10-3 :1-0) def Frankie Rivera (4-3 : 0-1) via Majority Decision

Lightweight

Raechel Lynne (PRO DEBUT) vs Aurora Tate (1-1-0)

Round 1 Recap:
Raechel Lynne started the round aggressively, pushing forward, and looking to put the hands on Aurora Tate. She's having a decent amount of success finding shots get through, although Tate does her best to cover up. Using a size edge, she eats a shot to turn Lynne against the fence, working for overhooks. She drops down, looking for a double leg. Lynne elbows downward at her temple, leaving herself open for the takedown. Following instructions from Gustav Reinhardt at cageside, she wall walks up and disengages. Tate pushes forward, feeling confident, and Lynne manages to deflect her shots to land a short counter combination. She then goes for a high hip throw, but Tate ends up taking her back instead. Tate is too high up, allowing Lynne to shrug her off, landing a punch on the ground. As Tate scrambles up, an overexuberant Lynne throws a roundhouse kick, but in her excitement didn't wait for her to get both knees up. Time is called for, and after a moment to check to see if Tate can continue, one point is docked. After an apology from Lynne, the rest of the round is spent with uneventful clinchwork as Tate tries to get her bearings back.

Lazar's Unofficial Scorecard: 10-9 Tate minus 1 point = 10-8 Tate

Round 2 Recap:
Lynne begins the round with a sense of urgency, knowing she's down, opening up with strikes. Again, her aggressiveness works against her, and she's turned against the cage. Tate works for another takedown, failing, and goes to work with knees and body punches before going for another failed takedown. Eventually this leads to a stalemate, and a break is called for as the crowd gets restless. From there, Raechel Lynne manages to use her angles better, darting in and out. She has success, until she's caught with a counter right hand. It doesn't hurt her, but does catch her off guard enough that her footwork gets messed up, allowing her to be planted with a takedown. Tate ends up in half guard, riding the position out with short ground and pound, before moving to side control near the end of the round, working shots from there.

Lazar's Unofficial Scorecard: 10-9 Tate = 20-17 Tate

Round 3 Recap:
Knowing that Lynne almost certainly needs a finish, Tate immediately shoots for a takedown trying to take it back to her comfort zone on the mat. Raechel manages to sprawl, as the shot comes from too far in. She tries to drop a few short punches, then disengages at her corner's behest. Tate pulls guard trying to bait her in, but the referee makes her stand back up after Lynne refuses to bite. She goes to clinch again, and Lynne slips out to break. Aurora Tate continues pushing forward looking to bull her agains the fence, throwing a punch on the way in. As she does, Raechel catches her in the temple with a spinning backfist! Tate drops like a sack of potatoes, and the referee dives in before Lynne can follow up with shots on the ground.

OFFICIAL DECISION: Raechel Lynne (1-0 : 1-0) def. Aurora Tate (1-2 : 0-1) via KO (Spinning Backfist) at 1:05 Round 3

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Welcome to the BIG DOG FIGHTS ONE! I like it when you call me Big Doggy! An event that promises to be the greatest spectacle in the history of combat sports! And I mean ever!"

Katrina Lazar:
"I don't know about that, but this should be a good night of fights. In her exuberance, I think my partner forgot to say she's Alisa Lukyanova, I'm Katrina Lazar, and we'll be bringing you all the action here tonight."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"We sure will! And we're going to see brave warriors take the first step towards Championship glory, while others hopes and dreams crumble to bits, just like the Roman Empire!"

Katrina Lazar:
"We're going to be seeing the individuals who will fight for the first ever BDF Championship decided tonight, as we have two Middleweight Tournament bouts. Now, I should clarify, Middleweight doesn't mean 185 pounds like in American MMA. Different venue here in Antigua, more flexible weight classes. These fighters simply need to weigh in anywhere to between 152 and 173 pounds as they step on the scales the day before the fight."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Okay, okay, stop boring them already! Let's get to the show! We've got a tournament fight to start us off!"

Kenji Gosenkugi (PRO DEBUT) vs "The Canadian Badass" Bryson Berdan (13-0-0)

Kenjii Gosenkugi looks completely focused on the task at hand as he emerges to a tepid response, with a bit of polite applause mixed in.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"I don't know a lot about this guy Katrina, but I imagine he must be good if he's in the tournament right off the bat!"

Katrina Lazar:
"He's a very elusive striker, and very skilled, but lacks actual professional MMA experience. I think he has an uphill battle ahead of him here."

He enters the cage after stopping at the check in point, and calmly takes his place.

"The Canadian Badass" Bryson Berdan emerges to a mixed reaction, grinning ear to ear.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"I appreciate the way he spikes his hair, but do they have dojos in Canada? The gi seems a bit excessive!"

Katrina Lazar:
"What's important to know here is that this guy by all accounts is the real deal. No real weaknesses in his game, size and experience on Kenji. I'd say his only real critique he's gotten is taking his time to finish at times.

Berdan makes sure to circle directly in front of Kenji, before taking his spot in front of his sponsorship banner. The camera shot pans to ring announcer Rumchata Ayano in the middle of the cage.

Rumchata Ayano:
"Welcome to BIG DOG FIGHTS! This fight is a tournament fight scheduled for three rounds in the BIG DOG FIGHTS Middleweight division! If the fight is scored even after three, we will go to a sudden victory round! Introducing first!"

She points towards Kenji.

Rumchata Ayano:
"Fighting out of Osaka, Japan, he is a Muay Thai fighter making his pro debut! This is Keeeennnjjiii Gosenkuuuugiiii!!!

She twirls dramatically.

Rumchata Ayano:
"His opponent, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he is a Freestyle fighter with an undefeated professional record of 13 and 0! He is "The Canadian Badass" Bryyysooonnn Berdaaannn!!!"

She waves adorably to the crowd, and exits the cage as the referee gives final instructions, and ring girl Honey Kaplan holds up the "Round One" card.

ROUND 1:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Taking the center of the cage immediately is Berdan, Katrina."

Katrina Lazar:
"Gosenkugi wants to use his speed to dart in, and out here, but the size and cage control of Berdan is giving him trouble so far. He's doing okay cutting angles to dart in, but moving straight back instead of slipping and moving."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"That's leaving him wide open for that good straight jab of Berdan, and teep kick. And Berdan pressing the action up against the cage now. "

Katrina Lazar:
"Berdan looking for a double leg, but it's a lot easier to drive for it, instead of from a standstill like this."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"And there he goes for the ride, a huge slam by Berdan!"

Katrina Lazar:
"That's pure athletic ability, and core strength there."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Berdan right into side control, working short shots. What does Kenji need to do to escape here?"

Katrina Lazar:
"Berdan has great control, and won't make many mistakes down there. Kenji needs to remember this is just round one, and be smart defensively. Make a technical move if Berdan goes for a more advantageous position, don't try to just explode out and leave himself open."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Oh, and he did just what you said not to! Berdan working for an arm triangle!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Kenji needs to do what's called 'answering the phone' here, keep his hand close to his head to defend."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"And Berdan's given up on it, moving to full mount."

Katrina Lazar:
"Smart move not to burn his arms out there."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Big ground and pound from mount by Berdan!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Yes, but Gosenkugi has been defending them well, none of them have gotten through."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"There's the signal for 10 seconds left in the round, and ... Gosenkugi survives!"

*HORN*

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Obviously a Berdan round, but did you have that as a 10-8?"

Katrina Lazar:
"No, I had that 10-9 for Bryson Berdan."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"And why's that?"

Katrina Lazar:
"He dominated the action yes, but never did any serious damage or came too close to finishing, that arm triangle was never that close."

Gosenkugi gets some pointed instructions in his corner, while Berdan's tells him to do more of the same. After the break is up, Honey Kaplan holds up the "Round Two" card.

ROUND 2:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Here we go, round two!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Gosenkugi doing a better job staying elusive here so far. He's moving side to side, helping him deal with that reach."

Alisa Lukyanova:

"He's walking a fine line here though, isn't he?"

Katrina Lazar:
"Yes, he clearly lost round one, and isn't a big puncher. So he is absolutely going to have to stay precise here, and not make any mental lapses."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Berdan seems to be getting a better sense of Kenji's movement now, and is defending okay. And there's the punches followed by a level change, Kenji going for the takedown."

Katrina Lazar:
"This will be tough, Berdan is powerful; he needs to not leave his neck expo ... he's got the neck, and is trying to pull guard for a guillotine. Gosenkugi trying to stay standing and just power out, I don't know if that's the wisest move."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"That looks tight ... BIG SLAM by Gosenkugi! He's looking to follow with punches, and it's over! The ref dives in before he can do any more damage! Wow!"

Katrina Lazar:
"That was almost like a pro wrestling spinebuster there, not the most technical move, just a big slam. Totally high risk, but it paid off, and good work by the official to step in there. Berdan's head bounces off the cage floor, he was out on the impact."

The fans are buzzing from the spectacular ending, as physicians go to check on Berdan, and make sure he doesn't get up. Gosenkugi heads to the center of the cage for the official announcement.

Rumchata Ayano:
"The referee has called a stop to this fight at one minute, and fifty two seconds of round number two! Declaring your winner by KNOCKOUT ... Keeennjjjiiii Gooooseeeennnkuuuggiii!!!"

Katrina Lazar has made her way to the cage to interview the winner.

Katrina Lazar:
I'm here with your winner, advancing to the Middleweight Championship fight, Kenji Gosenkugi. Kenji, you really struggled in round one but made some adjustments out there in round two. You seemed to get the jitters out of the way, and focus on your gameplan better. But that last slam that led you to pull off what many are calling an upset, it seemed like it was a return to your pro wrestling roots. Was that planned, or did your instincts take over?":

Kenji Gosenkugi:
"Yes."

Katrina Lazar:
"... Well then, Kenji Gosenkugi ladies and gentlemen!"

The fans give him another round of applause.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"What a way to kick off the show, a star was born there! And just a reminder, that bout was brought to you by VanGuard Heart Monitors! Remember, 'We Keep Beepin' So Your Ticker Keeps Tickin'!" VanGuard! We'll be back with more actions after this break!

OFFICIAL RESULT: Kenji Gosenkugi (1-0 : 1-0) def Bryson Berdan (13-1 : 0-1) via KO (Slam) at 1:52 Round 2

"Iron" Tyson Geroux (3-0-0) vs J.R. "Tommy" Thomas Jr. (8-8-1)

Katrina Lazar:
"This arena is still buzzing from that shocking first bout, but it's time to move onto Heavyweight action."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"I'm shocked!"

Boos ring out through the BIGDOGtorium as a grinning Tyson Geroux makes his trek to the cage.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Pro wrestler turned cagefighter, Tyson Geroux! He's your former co-worker, Katrina!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Yes, yes, he is. "

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Critics say Tyson is looking past his opponent here, but I talked to him earlier today, and he said they're all 'Jelly haters'!"

Tyson does a slow lap around the ring, winking at Rumchata Ayano.

The journeyman J.R. Thomas emerges to a respectable ovation, slamming his fists together before storming down to the cage.

Katrina Lazar:
"I'll say one thing, if Tyson Geroux is looking past him? He'll pay for it, his record here might not be much, but Tommy Thomas is one mean, full of steel veteran. "

Alisa Lukyanova:
"'Quite athletic, and explosive is Thomas!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Well, he hits hard, but I'd say Geroux is more explosive in general."

Thomas shoots a steely glare at Geroux as he passes him, causing the Alaskan to recoil, before taking his spot.

Rumchata Ayano:
"This next fight is in the Heavyweight Division! Introducing first, fighting out of La Jolla, California, he is a Wrestler with an undefeated record of 3 and 0!!! He is the sexy, undefeated "Iron" TYYYYSSOOOOOONNNN GEROUUUUX!!!"

The fans do not seem amused by the ring announcer doting on her boyfriend.

Rumchata Ayano:
"His opponent, from Houston, Texas, he is a Freestyle fighter with a record of 8 wins 8 losses and 1 no contest, he is J.R. "Tommy" Thomas Jr."

Rumchata blows Tyson a kiss, and exits as Beth Keaton raises up the "Round One" card.

ROUND ONE:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Not much action here early, Geroux trying to keep his distance."

Katrina Lazar:
"He's got the athleticism to do so, and use that kicking game of his if he so chooses. Those leg kicks he's using so far are more pesty than anything else."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"A nice body kick there by Geroux!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Yeah, he's not following up though. It's good not to rush into anything, but he's being a bit too patient, and methodical here if you ask me."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Thomas lumbering in, nothing pretty about that, and Geroux ties him up."

Katrina Lazar:
"He should have just disengaged, and kept his distance, Thomas has a huge weight edge on him."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Dirty boxing in close by the veteran, nothing pretty about it!"

Katrina Lazar:
"These are just chipping shots to the body that will drain you over the course of a fight. Now Thomas with the overhooks, looking for a takedown, and Geroux posting. Using his whizzer, he's handfighting here; it might not look like a lot is happening, but he's going for a throw of his own."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"And he's got him down! He's throwing punches, and ... it's over?"

Katrina Lazar:
"He must have landed awkwardly on the takedown, planting his arm like that, Geroux certainly didn't land much in the way of ground and pound.

The fans seem confused by the stoppage, and then start booing as Tyson climbs the fence of the cage and perches on top to celebrate. Thomas lets out an audible "FUCK!" as the officials check on him.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's saying he broke his arm, Katrina."

Katrina Lazar:
"Let's take a look at the replay on the monitor, and oooh yeah. It's hard to see where it happened, but he's in immediate pain, and there he tapped. We couldn't see that initially when it happened live."

Geroux grins ear to ear as he gets a kiss on the cheeck from Rumchata before she reads the official decision.

Rumchata Ayano:
"The referee has called a stop to this fight at two minutes and fifteen seconds of the very first round, due to a tap out. The winner of the match by technical submission, and still undefeated ... "Iron" TYYYSSOOOON GERROOOOUUUUX!!!"

Katrina Lazar taps Tyson on the shoulder to get his attention.

Katrina Lazar:
"Tyson, these fans aren't happy; a tough way to see any fight end. But I think they're upset because you celebrated so much after the fact, did you know J.R. was injured when you did so?"

Tyson Geroux:
"Listen, I just wanna thank my team, my bae, my sponsors, and most of all, me. Things happen in a fight, but I'm undefeated still!"

Katrina Lazar:
"You fought until the ref stopped it like any fighter would. But given the circumstances, would you be open for a rematch?"

Tyson Geroux:
"Hey, heading into this all I heard was Tyson's not a finisher, he's not ruthless enough, he's boring! So if he got hurt, it's because I brought the thunder! Sucks for him, but I"m looking ahead to dominate the Heavyweight Division! Bring on that big ugly Kraut, I'm here and I'm waiting! Wooo!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Well, there you have it; Tyson Geroux everyone."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Tyson Geroux not making any fans with that display. Speaking of fans, your ceiling fan not doing the job, and you need a new A/C system or service on your existing one? Call ARS at 866-399-2885! Fast, professional service on your Air Conditioning throughout the continental U.S! We'll be back with more action, right after this!"

OFFICIAL RESULT: Tyson Geroux (4-0 : 1-0) def. J.R. "Tommy" Thomas Jr. (8-9-1 : 0-1) via Tech. Submission (Injury) at 2:15 Round 1.

Luiz "Lobisomem" Almeida (22-7-2) vs "KSP" Kimbrotavious St. Praline (7-2-0)

Alisa Lukyanova:
"We're back, and would like to apologize for some of the language you heard before the break! But it's time for more fighting!"

As Luiz Almeida makes his way out, he's greeted with a negative reaction from the BIGDOGtorium crowd, including an "Uh Vai Morrer" chant from the Brazilian contigent in attendance.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"You don't usually hear that towards a Brazilian fighter, but Lobisomem which means 'Werewolf' if I'm correct, is considered an Uncle Tom among his people!"

Katrina Lazar:
"What she means is, this veteran has forsaken Jiu Jitsu, focusing on sambo. But it's not just Brazil he's unpopular in, he's got a reputation as a dirty fighter."

He enters the cage after stopping at the check in point, looking supremely confident.

"KSP" is greeted bt a loud ovation, and slaps hands on the way out to the cage.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"K-S-P has arrived!"

Katrina Lazar:
"He comes to BDF as a fan favorite for his exciting style, and he has all the tools in the world. The question is putting it all together, and learning how to implement a gameplan.

He continues pumping up the crowd as he makes his way into the cage, soaking up the ovation.

Rumchata Ayano:
"This next fight is in the Light Heavyweight Division! Introducing first, fighting out of Pikesville, Maryland, he is a Sambo fighter with a record of 22 wins 7 losses and 2 no contests, Luuuiiz "Lobisomem" Alllmeeeeidaaa!!!

As the boos rain down on Almeida, she twirls, and points to KSP.

Rumchata Ayano:
"His opponent, fighting out of Memphis, Tennessee, he is a Muay Thai fighter with a record of 7 wins and 2 losses, "KSP" Kimbrotavious St. Praaallliinne!!!

She exits the cage as the referee gives final instructions, and ring girl Honey Kaplan holds up the "Round One" card.

ROUND 1:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"KSP really using those front kicks with great effect early here."

Katrina Lazar:
"Yeah, he's keeping his distance with it, keeping Almeida out of takedown range. I imagine Almeida will try to take him down by catching those kicks, going forward."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"That'll be tough though, won't it?"

Katrina Lazar:
"Not in most cases, but he's getting his leg up so quick here, and mixing in just enough punches and leg kicks to keep him off guard."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Look at the speed of those kicks, and how he gets in and out. He's not just tall, he's a next level athlete, isn't KSP."

Katrina Lazar:
"He's completely got control of the fight right now, and this is where it gets interesting. Does he keep his patience, and hope he cracks Almeida's dodgy chin, or does he get more aggressive looking for the finish."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Well which would you do?"

Katrina Lazar:
"I'd stay patient, the last thing he wants to do is overcommit, leaving himself open for a takedown."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Oh, and what's this? The ref is calling for a break in the action."

Katrina Lazar:
"Almeida caught KSP in the eye, it looks like he was trying to keep his hand out to measure the distance. He's getting a warning now; careless, but I don't think it was intentional."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"The re-start, and Almeida feigning the glove touch, changes levels slamming KSP down! The fans are not happy with that!"

Katrina Lazar:
"That's not going to make him friends, but right now he's looking to drop some hammerfists."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"KSP back up though, Almeida has his back, and a big suplex! KSP back up again, and it looks like Luiz is trying another suplex ... he gets it.

Katrina Lazar:
"One hook in for Almeida, and he's dropping ground and pound, he has to stay careful not to lose that position after all that effort expended to get it."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"There's the signal for ten seconds left in the round, he's unloading harder now!"

*HORN*

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Both men had their success in that round, but it really changed after the eye poke. How did you score it?"

Katrina Lazar:
"I go 10-9 Luiz Almeida, but close. Unfortunately we can't deduct effective offense for unsporting behavior, we're told to be ready to fight at the ref's command. I think those last few hard shots he got in, in addition to the control were enough to just overcome the early striking success of KSP."

KSP's corner is mostly focused on how well he can see, while the Zmei Nest one is telling Almeida to get him right back down to the mat. As the fighters get off their stools, Honey Kaplan holds up the "Round Two" card.

ROUND 2:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"That eye definitely seems to be affecting KSP early here, he's blinking a lot, and isn't having much striking success."

Katrina Lazar:
"Well, it's making it difficult for him to judge distance mostly likely, which is going to make things really difficult unless that vision starts clearing up."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Head kick by KSP not close, he throws another one, and Almeida catches the leg, dumping him down."

Katrina Lazar:
"He's on top in closed guard now, a position he'll be happy to work from."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Is it a mistake to be content to ride it out on the ground? It appears KSP is getting sloppy and reckless on the feet."

Katrina Lazar:
"No, because this is still his domain on the ground, and KSP can always still land that one big shot. He's just going to grind out KSP, who's had cardio problems in the past, out here. Look how he's pressing his head into his chest, and then dropping short shots when he's told to work."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's into half guard now, opening up a bit more. Ooh, KSP fishing for a kimura from the bottom!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Yeah, he's not gonna come close to getting it from there though, especially against such a slick grappler. There you see he's out already into side control, working elbows."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's got the mount now, and he's opening up!"

Katrina Lazar:
"KSP tried to explode out, instead of grappling smart, and gave up a worse position. Now he's turning, and Almeida has the back. He's got both hooks in now, and this is a terrible position for KSP. Almeida opening up, and he'll try to go for the neck."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"It looks like he's giving up on the strikes after a warning about the back of the head, looking for the rear naked now!"

Katrina Lazar:
"KSP defending it well though; Almeida switching to a two handed Gable grip now."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Could he turn this into a neck crank?"

Katrina Lazar:
"He could, but he also doesn't want to burn his arms out. See, now he's let go, and switched his grip. KSP handfighting, Almeida running out of time in the round ..."

*HORN*

Alisa Lukyanova:
"How did you score that one? That was a dominant round for Almeida."

Katrina Lazar:
"Dominant, but I didn't have that a 10-8 because he never came close to finishing. If there was a such thing as a 10-8 1/2 I'd call it that, 20-18 Almeida through two."

Almeida's corner is full of praise for him, while KSP is getting a vocal pep talk telling him he needs a finish. The fans applaud to will KSP on as Honey holds up the "Round Three" card.

ROUND 3:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"KSP looking more comfortable here, but are you surprised he's not being more aggressive with only one round to towork with?"

Katrina Lazar:
"No, we've seen him geting taken down over, and over again. He's not going to get the knockout by seeking it."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Good body kick there, and Almeida felt that. He's looking for a tie up, and he's hurt!"

Katrina Lazar:
"He got caught with a short uppercut coming in, and he's desperately clinging for the legs trying for a takedown."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"KSP dropping shots, but he's running on fumes! Pulling guard is Almeida, and KSP dropping hammerfists!"

Katrina Lazar:
"That shot missed, he loaded up for a big bomb, and Almeida's getting back up."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Almeida's got the back, he's flattened him out now!"

Katrina Lazar:
"He chose to re-engage instead of separating, and now he's in huge trouble! Almeida has the choke in, and there's the tap!"

The fans mostly boo Almeida's victory, although a few cheer in appreciation of the action in the final frame.

Rumchata Ayano:
"The referee has called a stop to the action at one minute and fifty eight seconds of the third round! Declaring your winner by tap out due to a Rear Naked Choke, Luuiiiiiz "Lobisomem" Alllmeeeiiiddaaa!!!

Katrina Lazar:
"I'm here with your winner Luiz Ameida, congratulations on the win."

Luiz Almeida:
"Keep boo me! Keep boo me, I am the winner!"

Katrina Lazar:
"I think people are upset because that eye poke really seemed to change the tone of the fight, and you feigned a glove touch immediately after that. Do you ... annnnddd it looks like he's not going to answer any more questions. Your winner, Luiz Almeida."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Luiz Almeida showing no remorse for his actions there. Something else that shows no remorse, is irritable bowel syndrome. That's why if you're one of the many people out there suffering from IBS, you should see your doctor to ask if ColonCalm is right for you. When mixed with proper diet, and lifestyle choices, it can help manage IBS. ColonCalm! We'll be back with more fights, right after this."

OFFICIAL RESULT: Luiz Almeida (23-7-2 : 1-0) def. Kimbrotavious St. Praline (7-3 : 0-1) via Submission (RNC) at 1:58 Round 3.

Gustav Reinhardt (4-0-0) vs Oscar Beltran (13-3-1)

The big German Gustav Reinhardt barrels out into view, and the fans give him a heavy ovation.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's been called one of the crown jewels of the BIG DOG FIGHTS initial roster, a big time signing, and a big man! Undefeated thus far in his career is Reinhardt!"

Katrina Lazar:
"A boxer by trade, this big guy is also a surprisingly good grappler."

He lets out a roar of intensity after entering the cage.

Oscar Beltran makes his way out, looking cool, calm, and collected..

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's not much to look at, but he's got a pretty solid track record!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Indeed he does, I'd say he's a bit of a better version of J.R. Thomas who we saw earlier in the night, personally. Maybe not quite as hard hitting, but better hand speed, a little more fit, and tough as all hell."

He locks eyes with Reinhardt as he enters the cage, then takes his corner.

Rumchata Ayano:
"This next fight is in the Heavyweight Division! Introducing first, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada, he is a Boxer with an undefeated record of 4 wins and no losses, this is Guuustaavvv Reeiiinhaaaarrrdt!!!

She spins towards Beltran.

Rumchata Ayano:
"His opponent, fighting out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, he is a Boxer with a record of 13 wins, 3 losses and 1 no contest, this is Oscaaarrrr Beeeltrrraaann!!!

She smiles, and exits the cage as the referee gives final instructions, and ring girl Beth Keaton holds up the "Round One" card.

ROUND 1:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Both men feeling each other out early, big judo toss by Reinhardt but Beltran right back up."

Katrina Lazar:
"He went for the big throw there, but couldn't keep him down. It's a pretty rare skill actually keeping control after a really big slam, and like a lot of Judokas, Gustav doesn't have the positional game that a lot of wrestlers do. Now we're having a bit of a standup ... OH!"

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Big right hand by Gustav Reinhardt and this one is over! A walkoff KO, faceplanting Oscar Beltran! The hype is for real with him!"

Katrina Lazar:
"This place is loving that, let's take a look on the replay. Both men going for right hands, and a little bit of a slicker movement in the pocket by Reinhardt, a little bit of a shorter, tighter punch despite being the taller man, and his right hook gets there first- right on the jaw!"

Reinhardt waves his massive arms to pump the crowd up as he awaits the official word.

Rumchata Ayano:
"The referee has called a stop to this fight at twenty eight seconds of the first round! Declaring your winner by KNOCKOUT ... Guuuussstaaaavvv Reeeiiiinhaaaarrdttt!!!

Katrina Lazar:
"I"m here with your winner Gustav Reinhardt, making an emphatic statement. After Raechel Lynne's victory on the preliminary card tonight, you have to be flying high."

Gustav Reinhardt:
"It was a good night, yes. BIG DOG fans, you enjoy the fight, yeah?"

The fans let out a cheer in approval.

Katrina Lazar:
"It certainly sounds like they did. Now, you just steamrolled through a very tough veteran in Oscar Beltran. Do you consider that a message to Tyson Geroux, who called you out earlier in the night?"

Reinhardt lets out a huge belly laugh, which causes Rumchato Ayano at cageside to swallow nervously.

Katrina Lazar:
"There you have it, Gustav Reinhardt everyone!"

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Well, the big German certainly was in a hurry to get in and out, taking care of his business! Are you in a hurry to get away somewhere? The Antigua Tourism Bureau says why not Antigua? 'Antigua ... Jamaica's really not that great anyways!' We'll be right back after this!"

OFFICIAL RESULT: Gustav Reinhardt (5-0 : 1-0) def. Oscar Beltran (13-4-1 : 0-1) via KO (Punch) at 0:28 Round 1.

Ana Esparza (8-2-1) vs Becky Sexton (11-4-0)

Ana Esparza makes her way out with a dual Mexican/American flag draped over her back to a loud reception, mostly positive with a smattering of boos.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"A polarizing figure is Esparza, she notably didn't show up for a scheduled interview with you, isn't that right Katrina!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Yes, that's correct; I hope it was a misunderstanding. Either way, she's got a bit of a checkered history, but is a show stealing type of talent."

She appears to be completely in her own world as she finishes her last minute preparation.

A fired up Becky Sexton runs out into view, slapping as many fans hands as possible.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"This rugged Brit considers herself a real pioneer."

Katrina Lazar:
"Well, it's true she started out when Women's MMA wasn't getting as much respect. Of course I've heard from the LJCA camp that Esparza represents, they think her game hasn't evolved enough to deal with Esparza."

She acknowledges the crowd after entering the cage, and then haeds to her corner.

Rumchata Ayano:
"This next fight is in the Lightweight Division! Introducing first, fighting out of La Jolla, California, she is a Wrestler with a record of 8 wins 2 losses and 1 no contest, this is Aaannnaaa Espaaarzzzaaa!!!"

Rummy spins and points towards Becky.

Rumchata Ayano:
"Her opponent, fighting out of Manchester, England, she is a Catch Wrestler with a record of 11 wins 4 losses and 1 no contest, this is Beeeckyyyy Seeextooonnn!!!"

She exits, and Honey Kaplan holds up the "Round One" card before blowing a kiss.

ROUND 1:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Esparza not wasting any time taking the center of the cage!"

Katrina Lazar:
"As per usual, she only has one gear she fights at. You can see already how crisp her boxing is as well."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"She's lighting Sexton up like a spliff in a Liberal Arts college dorm room!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Mixing up the strikes beautifully, not headhunting, but a jab, dig to the body, then a right cross."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"No luck on the takedown attempt there by Sexton, Esparza reverses into a Greco-Roman throw easily, and now she's motioning her back up!"

Katrina Lazar:
"That's what makes her so difficult to deal with, she has a good wrestling base so she can keep the fight standing. Look at her balance, another combination, and she doesn't throws herself off center."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Sexton's face is bloodied up now, and she's shooting for a takedown, Esparza pulling guard for a guillotine!"

Katrina Lazar:
"It's the arm in guillotine which is tough to pull off, but she's got it tight."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"There's the tap, it's over! Ana Esparza makes Becky Sexton her personal pinata!"

The fans applaud the dominant showing by Esparza as she celebrates her victory.

Rumchata Ayano:
"The referee has called a stop to this fight at two minutes and thirty six seconds of the first round! Declaring your winner by tap out to a guillotine choke, Aaannnaaa Espaaarzzzaaa!!!

Katrina Lazar:
"Ana, this fight couldn't have gone much more according to plan for you. A lot of people were expecting an all out war, but your camp and coaches were confident you'd win easily. How satisfying is that?"

Ana Esparza:
"Yeah, it's whatever, she was gonna try to lay on me so I tapped her out."

Katrina Lazar:
"You make it sound so simple, but Becky Sexton is a tough out."

Ana Esparza:
"It was simple."

Katrina Lazar:
"I'll take your word for it, do you have anyone in or out of BIG DOG FIGHTS that you'd like to fight on our next show?"

Ana Esparza:
"It's fighting, I'll throw with whoever."

Katrina Lazar:
"There you have it, Ana Esparza everyone!"

Alisa Lukyanova:
"What an impressive performance that was, and speaking of impressive performances ... Struggling to perform? Losing the spark in your relationship? Or just want a little bit extra? Well then, you should try Groinzilla! An all natural herbal supplement that is guaranteed to improve performance, or your money back! Groinzilla ... it's not because you need it, it's because you want it!"

OFFICIAL RESULT: Ana Esparza (9-2-1 : 1-0) def. Becky Sexton (11-5-1 : 0-1) via submission (Guillotine Choke) at 2:36 Round 1.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Welcome back, it's been an off the charts debut show for us here, full of finishes! We've seen upsets, domination, and come from behind wins! But before we get to our last fight of the evening, let's take a quick look at our preliminary fights which aired online earlier tonight! Starting us off, Lucas Holden took on Robbie Roberts in Light Heavyweight action."

Katrina Lazar:
"It was a grinding fight, where Roberts had his moments, but ultimately didn't do enough. Lucas Holden wore him down to win a close split decision."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Randy Silva took on Frankie Rivera in an alternate fight in case one of our Middleweight tournament finalists is unable to compete next show. This was one of the fights of the night, but not without some controversy."

Katrina Lazar:
"Yes, Randy Silva did some fence grabbing early on which may have helped him avoided the early submission. He got deducted a point, but still managed to win a majority decision."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Finally, Raechel Lynne, a student of Marissa Murder Queen took on Aurora Tate! The debutant Lynne made some rookie mistakes early, and found herself down big on the cards!"

Katrina Lazar:
"She did, she mistimed a kick which got her a point deduction. I also had her losing the first two rounds anyways, so she needed a finish, and she got a spectacular one. Let's take a look at the highlight ... spinning backfist, and Aurora Tate was out."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"A memorable pro debut for sure, but let's not wait any longer! We'll have your main event after this short break!"

Chester "The Cincinnati Red" Mann (15-3-1) vs Ronaldo "Cowboy" Silva (21-1-0)

"The Cincinnati Red" is greeted by a rousing ovation, with the exception of the Brazilian contingent in attendance who greet him with an "Uh Vai Morrer" chant. He seems relaxed, but ready for war at the same time.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"The fans love this guy, because he's like one of them. Blue collar, hard working, self-effacing, the ultimate underdog, and tonight he fights for them."

Katrina Lazar:
"One thing you can count on with him is a war. He might not be the most physically gifted, but he is never out of a fight."

He enters the cage after stopping at the check in point, rocking out to the dulcet tones of David Hasselhoff.

Silva seems loose, and confident as he makes his walk out while wearing his trademark cowboy hat.

Katrina Lazar:
"Chester Mann is known for being able to take a beating, and he'll need every bit of this toughness here. Cowboy is good on the ground, and has outstanding punishing Muay Thai if you stand with him."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Buzzsaw, destructive, cowboy. These words all describe the force that is Cowboy Silva, who truly lives the lifestyle of his nickname."

He takes the center of the cage the crowd growing loud in anticipation of the Main Event.

Rumchata Ayano:
"This is the second BIG DOG FIGHTS Middleweight Tournament fight, and your MAIIIINNN EVENT of the evening!!! Introducing first, fighting out of Pikesville, Maryland, he is a Boxer with a record of 15 wins, 3 losses and 1 no contest, this is Cheeesterrr "The Cincinnati Red" "Maaannnn!!!

She busts out her most over the top dramatic twirl of the night.

Rumchata Ayano:
"His opponent, fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, he is a Muay Thai practitioner with a record of 21 wins and only 1 loss, he is Rooonaaaaldooo "Cowboy" Siiiilvvaaa!!!

As Rumchata exits, the referee takes extra time to go over the instructions, making sure there are no language barrier problems. Beth Keaton smiles broadly as she holds up the "Round One" card.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"It's only early, and we can already see why Cowboy has the reputation he does, you can hear these leg kicks!"

Katrina Lazar:
"He's a great Muay Thai fighter, but it's actually the ones you don't hear that hurt the worst."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"How can he avoid these?"

Katrina Lazar:
"I don't know if Mann has the speed to check them, so his best chance might be to wade through the damage and get in the pocket. Turn this into a brawl."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"It looks like he's trying to do just that, but that's a big knee he just ate! I don't know how he's still upright."

Katrina Lazar:
"He's got a wicked chin, which is why I think this strategy gives him his best shot even though he's eating more strikes, beautiful punches and elbows from the clinch before Cowboy disengages."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's still throwing with reckless abandon, but not having much success; and that one definitely hurt him!"

Katrina Lazar:
"A kick to the body, and Cowboy is swarming with with punches on the ground. This might get waved off soon."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's somehow still defending, some of these punches are just getting blocked with his face, but he's back up! And there's a big momentum throw sending Cowboy against the fence."

Katrina Lazar:
"Silva went for a quick clinch knee, and got sent flying, he's right back up though."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Chester Mann is going wild with punches, he's swinging, looking for a knockout!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Not many of these are getting through though, and there's a nice elbow counter from Silva that rocks him."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"But here comes Mann firing right back, these two are like Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots! Now Silva is throwing back, and he's dropped!"

Katrina Lazar:
"A little shovel uppercut there from Mann caught him on the chin, and he's going for broke with these punches on the ground looking to finish."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Ten seconds to go in the round, and Cowboy survives the scare!"

*HORN*

The BIGDOGtorium fans give both fighers a standing ovation as they wobble back to their corners.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"How do you score a round like that which was all out violence?"

Katrina Lazar:
"I'm going 10-9 Cowboy Silva, they both hurt each other, but Mann really just had that one big flurry, while Silva did a lot of damage before it turned into an all out brawl."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Could you see the judges scoring it the other way?"

Katrina Lazar:
"It's very possible, the last part of the round tends to stick in their heads the most."

Both fighters are getting end-swells on their face, with Cowboy's corner telling him not to get sucked into a brawl. The fans roar loudly as Beth Keaton holds up the "Round Two" card.

ROUND 2:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Is it me or is Cowboy still hurt here? Chester Mann is doing remarkably well here early on, even keeping it at a distance."

Katrina Lazar:
"I don't know if he's still hurt, but here's the thing. Chester Mann is used to fighting hurt, this is his wheelhouse. Cowboy really isn't, he usually dominates guys."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's firing back still, but he just doesn't look himself."

Katrina Lazar:
"Well, as I was trying to say, you can get mildly concussed from a knockdown like that, and you're not there for the rest of the fight. You can't remember what happened, and are trying to play catch up mentally. Chester Mann, who connected with the nice hook to the body right there, is just going to swing for the knockout no matter what."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's pulling Cowboy's head down now, working short uppercuts."

Katrina Lazar:
"And that was a mistake, see Cowboy was able to grab the Thai clinch from there, which is his comfort zone. He's working some nice short elbows, and allowing himself to rest at that."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Speaking of resting, I know Mann trusts his chin, but he might want to get out of there!"

Katrina Lazar:
"He's got a bad habit of resting, and not working hard enough in situations like this. It might be to expend energy if this fight goes into deep waters, or he could have gassed himself a bit in that wild first round."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He's looking at the ref, but he's not going to help him here is he? Oh nevermind, now he's telling Cowboy to work, and there's a good knee to the body."

Katrina Lazar:
"Chester has a cut under his left eye; we're being told it's from one of those elbow strikes, and not a clash of heads."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"That's an okay spot to have one though, isn't it?"

Katrina Lazar:
"It is, it's when it's above the eyes that you're really in trouble."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"And now there's a break, to the approval of our fans."

Katrina Lazar:
"Not a lot of time left in the round, I wouldn't be surprised if they just played it safe and saved all they've got for round three."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Oh, and a teep kick from Mann, followed by a Superman punch right before the horn!"

*HORN*

Katrina Lazar:
"I guess he had other ideas in mind, and I don't think Silva was expecting that either. He kind of meandered back, rolling with that teep and left himself open for the follow up."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"So, how did you score that one? Another close round, even without as much action."

Katrina Lazar:
"It was close, but I go 10-9 Chester Mann. I think he controlled the pace more, and had some good strikes landed. Silva landed some good strikes against the fence, but not enough to take it for me."

Chester is getting his cut treated, and a rah rah talk from his corner telling him to finish the fight.
The Cowboy corner are overheard telling their fighter he's up two rounds, and the fans give their loudest ovation of the night as Beth holds up the "Round Three" card.

ROUND 3:

Alisa Lukyanova:
"A touch of gloves from both fighters here to start it out, two class acts."

Katrina Lazar:
"Oh, that buckled Chester's leg, I saw him grimace. Cowboy wound all the way up, and went back to those nasty leg kicks."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"He'll need those kicks, we're getting word from our roving ringside reporter Metta World Hate that he told his corner he thinks he broke his hand. His memory is fuzzy, but his corner thinks it was in the first round, when he was trying to finish."

Katrina Lazar:
"That would definitely explain his desire to use his elbow strikes in round two. Chester would be best staying at range considering that fact, but without that knowledge, I think he's going to try to get inside to avoid the kicks instead. Which would have been what I suggested earlier, but now?"

Alisa Lukyanova:
"And there he is, pressing forward; Cowboy with the Thai clinch, and Chester is peppering his body with punches."

Katrina Lazar:
"Those aren't really doing a ton of damage though, they're more pesky than anything."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Big knee up the middle! Mann is down again, and this time he might be in serious trouble as Cowboy looks to finish. No! He's on top now!

Katrina Lazar:
"That was a beautiful rubber guard sweep from Mann. I think Cowboy normally has the edge there in grappling, but he's not used to these deep waters. "

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Good ground and pound from Mann in Cowboy's half guard, he's landing heavy shots here."

Katrina Lazar:
"Maybe a little too aggressive though, Cowboy managed to get back to full guard."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Posturing up, punches and hammerfists; triangle attempt by Cowboy, now he's going for the armbar! Mann is out though, and he's hunting for a finish or at least an emphatic win of this round!"

Katrina Lazar:
"I don't think Cowboy has a lot left, Mann seems to be breaking his will."

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Chester Mann! Finishing with a flourish, and there's the final horn!"

*HORN!*

Both fighters share a bloody embrace after the bout, then hold their arms up believing they've won. They head to the center of the cage to hear the official decision.

Alisa Lukyanova:
"What a fight! An all out bloodbath, who do you have winning this one?"

Katrina Lazar:
"I gave the last round to Chester Mann 10-9, and the fight to him 29-28. I don't think the knockdown and hard leg kick were enough to overcome the rest of the round, but a judge could see it differently."

Rumchata Ayano:
"After three rounds, we go to the judges scorecards! They score the fight 30-27 Silva! 29-28 Mann! And 29-28 for the winner by Split Decision ... Chester "The Cincinnati Red" Maaaannnn!!!"

The crowd largely approves of the decision, although the Brazilian contingent is unhappy. Chester sinks to his knees throwing his arms up in elation, while Cowboy walks off disappointed, muttering to himself.

Katrina Lazar:
"Chester, you were one of the biggest underdogs on the card, not a lot of people gave you a chance here tonight. But here you are, showing your heart, and winning our first ever main event!"

An excited Mann gives her a hug of excitement, before catching himself and mouthing "sorry".

Chester Mann:
"Hey, if I was a bettor I wouldn't have given me much of a chance either. He's a beast, and on paper he has every edge. But good thing for me, we don't fight on paper."

Katrina Lazar:
"What were you thinking after he dropped you early in that first round."

Chester Mann:
"Uh, I honestly don't remember too much. Probably was thinking 'ow' though. I'm just glad I could put on a show for the fans."

Katrina Lazar:
"You did put on a show, and I hate to ask this. But given that war you went through, do you think you'll be good to go next show against Kenji Gosenkugi for the Middleweight Title?"

Chester Mann:
"This is what I do, there isn't a thing that's gonna keep me out of this cage!"

Katrina Lazar:
"Your main event winner, going on to fight for the title, Chester Mann!!!"

OFFICIAL RESULT: Chester "The Cincinnati Red" Mann (16-3-1 : 1-0) def. Ronaldo "Cowboy" Silva (21-2 : 0-1) via Split Decision (27-30, 29-28, 29-28)

Alisa Lukyanova:
"Well, our main event was the only fight without a finish on this main card, but it might have been the most exciting one yet! Any final takeaways from our first show?"

Katrina Lazar:
"My biggest takeaway is this was a show for new stars to make a name for themselves. A lot of upsets, a lot of prospects bursting out, and a lot of journeymen picking up the biggest wins of their careers."

Alisa Lukyanova:
" Well said! I'm looking forward to our Middleweight Championship fight, and hopefully a clash in the near future between Tyson Geroux and Gustav Reinhardt! For Katrina Lazar, I'm Alisa Lukyanova, and this has been BIG DOG FIGHTS!
